Selling my 1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5. This has been a really great truck, but it’s time to move on and let someone else enjoy it.
It’s in fantastic shape and really needs nothing. 22RE with a 5-speed manual. It’s been my daily driver for the last 3 years and has never let me down.
The color combo and graphics are great, it gets lots of thumbs up on the road and comments at gas stations. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it!
Its mostly original. I’ve done a handful of modifications, but everything I’ve done can be returned to stock. I installed an after-market temp gauge in the cowl, but the original unmolested cowl is included.
I’m sad to see it go, but I just got a new truck project and need to make some space...

This is and was my daily driver for the past 20+ years. Purchased in Colorado Springs in 2001 with approx 20K miles on it. The rest are on me! I have driven, camped, 4-wheeled and crawled all over the country! This rig is super capable but thanks to the Sonoran Steel suspension is comfy on the highway as well. It is one of the most highly modified mid-travel 3rd Gen 4Runners you will find and it is in amazing shape. This will crawl up a mountain, and be a commuter (thanks to the news 5spd gearing!). This was my dream build and I’m sad to let it go, 2006 V8 2UZ VVTI 4.7L 4WD in White with Grey interior. Clean title 169,XXX miles. Full build list is probably still missing a few things. Build list is long with Long Travel, Triple Locked, Regeared 4.88 etc.. got receipts for a lot of the mods and did a lot of the work myself.

1997 4Runner 5-speed Anthracite metallic, SR5, Locking rear Diff 68k miles. No rust. I am the 3rd owner, for almost 2 years. I've put 3k miles on it. Originally from CO, then San Diego for a few months, now with me in Ventura County. Timing belt changed 2k miles ago, still on original LBJs but I have a new OEM set that comes with the truck. 2011 4Runner limited, silver exterior, black leather interior. Power moonroof, power rear window rolls up and down. Transmission fluid, front/rear diff fluid, transfer class fluid all changed at 60k miles per Toyota maintenance schedule. No accidents, clean carfax. Title in hand. Runs/drives exactly as it should. Only reason for selling is I bought an ‘18 Landcruiser and there’s no extra spot in the garage for the 4Runner.$30,000.

Ran when parked but was “tired”. Got it to fire on starting fluid and a jump pack. Have another 22RE with a Manual trans that comes with it. My fathers plan was to swap the motors. Never happened.
Very cool and desirable truck. Only year when solid front axle over lapped EFI I’m told.

Minor rust...
The time has come to sell our little daily driver 4runner. This one has a functioning factory rear locker and 4 wheel drive.
High miles but it still runs strong and shifts well. Recently I have replaced the suspension with a 2 inch Bilstein/OME kit. The alternator was also replaced with a Denso unit. I've tried to use all OEM components while servicing this vehicle down to OEM Toyota filters. A box will be included in the sale.
The good:
-Minimal rust. Ex California vehicle.
-Un-molested.
-Everything works. Including AC.
-Frame is in really good condition despite miles.
-Brand new suspension, front brakes, alternator.
The bad:
-High mileage; 378000 miles.
-Needs front CV's rebooted/replaced.
-Fuel door doesn't open nicely.

I bought this less than a week ago because my wife’s 4th gen 4runner was totaled, but we were able to buy it back and repair it and had it back on the road in a few days so this one has to go. It is a 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD. It has a 4.7 with 252,xxx miles. It has a very clean interior and body. Other than a small spot in the driver’s bolster and a few scratches on the body it is in excellent condition. It came from the west coast and it shows. It has zero rust. The engine runs excellent and the transmission shifts very smoothly. All fluids look like they are new. The 2 rear tires are new and the 2 front are in very good condition. Has new PS pump and PS air control valve. New windshield. Has a stack of maintenance records...

2nd Owner, purchased with about 18,000 miles from an older gentleman. Yes, 61,000 current actual miles is correct.
No sunroof. No accidents. No issues.
We put on the ARB Bumper, BFG tires, and Bilstien shocks to level the front. I do not have the original bumper.
We changed out all the fluids and replaced the spark plugs.
This 4Runner has never been off road and has only spent a handful of nights outside of a garage or shop. There are no dents, scratches, stains. It runs, rides, and drives flawlessly.
The dash has a narrow crack that is common in 4Runners of this era.
