1992 FJ80 Timing Chain

A prospective buyer for my 1992 FJ80 says he'll have to immediately replace the timing chain due to mileage (220k miles). There is no indication the chain is bad. Does this make sense? I don't think a timing chain is something you replace proactively unless their are warning signs.
 
Yeah, a timing chain isn't something you replace when it doesn't exist to begin with. You've got gears and pushrods, Lifetime components that could probably use an adjustment
