Anybody use portable modular tool storage, like the Milwaukee Packouts? All the tool manufacturers are selling them now: DeWalt, Klein, Flex, etc. I'm on a different job site approx once a week in the warmer months, building ramps/decks/stairs and doing window/door replacements for folks in the community, and I got tired of having my stuff rolling around in the Cruiser with no organization.

I'm a Makita snob, and I was excited to see they came out with a system that is similar, but has some really cool features. They don't have the selection that Milwaukee has, but so far I'm really happy with mine.

It holds a LOT of stuff, everything I've needed so far on most jobs, except of course a miter & table saw. Plus, with the slide out handle, I can easily and quickly load the entire stack into the back of the Tacoma.

What are you guys using? Like it?

I have been out of the field for 20+ years now (electrician by trade) and would have loved a set up like that. I do however have a bunch of the Milwaukee packouts and love them for various reasons. I am a superintendent that builds large buildings etc, hospitals, MOBs, schools etc. Some I use as desk drawers in my office trailer and others I use for general tool storage in my trailer.

I have also used them in my 40 for trips. As well as on my car trailer for trips. The base plate being anchored down and then being able to remove the box if necessary.

I'm hoping Makita will be coming out with more accessories. A base plate to anchor the big box in the back of my truck would be very useful, to keep it from sliding around. Or I might come up with some sort of a jig to latch it into.

I need more/smaller bins for the organizer box. Will probably try making some with the 3D printer.
