Took advantage of the nice weather on Sunday and took my daughter and some friends who tagged along out to the Owyhees. It was spectacular. Always is this time of year. But we stayed out longer than I had really planned and the sun setting was amazing. Beautiful colors.

Lots of dirt bike experience but this is the first time I've taken any truck into the sand like this.
10psi in the Ko2s worked nicely. The Cummins 2.8 worked nicely.
Shotgun passenger and I had a good time.
Buddy in the back seat on the sunset cruise said that riding back there was the most terrifying thing he's ever done, and he is not shy about doing wild and crazy stuff. All he could see through the windshield was sand or sky, and he's sitting behind the rear axle, sideways, and this is after everybody ate about two pounds of tacos for dinner.
New rule is going to be helmets for backseat passengers, and probably take the top and doors off for their visibility. And likely just never go wild and crazy with backseaters.

first ride in the dirt with the new parabolic springs and dobinsons IMS shocks. ooooowwwwweeee, hahaha its like a lifted coil spring ride now :) the ride all the way to the old logged beach is mostly river stones and only aired down to 20 (just to see how much softer it rode) instead of the usual 17, and it felt great, and articulated a lot more. The climb up off that beach would have definitely been a lot tougher withthe previous springs and shocks. the old huge 11 leaf pack didnt flex much.

A cat and a chainsaw…
Quite the cargo.

Stunning. What roof rack is that? Looks great.
The roof rack is 4 60" long extruded alluminum crossbars bolted to 8 gutter clamps. Spaced 20" apart. The fuel container is mounted on a rotopax mounting plate that is connected to the crossbars with more extruded aluminum. I used TNUTS for all of it except the gutter clamps and rotopax stuff. Pretty affordable. It has worked really well for a rtt, maxtrax, awnings, fuel, and whatever else. I'm planning to do the same for my 60. I think I'll probably get gutter mounts from gamaviti for the 60.

I'm stoked you all like the pics. But, honestly they dont do justice to what it looked like out there on Sunday. We didnt get home until nearly 11:00. I had only packed a lunch. And ,still, my daughter and I didnt want to leave.

Is she a Maine Coon?
no, just a mutt farm cat. has a racoon tail hahaha. I take her everywhere i go, and have from when we got her at 2 months. she comes to work everyday in chinatown and she walks from the car 10 blocks away through chinatown no leash everyday to the office. shes the absolute best. she uses her litter box in the back of the truck while were blasting potholes on service roads like she was at home hahahaha.

She sure looks and sounds like a Maine coon.

They can be like dogs in their loyalty and obedience.

Either way, awesome to have such a great animal in your life, you must have some great karma.
