I am looking at a decent deal on a HJ60 diesel with an automatic tranny.. I have never really liked AT's but thought I could get an experienced opinion..

Is the toyota automatic any good?? breaks alot?? much less fuel economy??
Has anyone here done the switch from auto to 5 speed.. How hard is it?/
Also, while I am at it I also wanted to ask if anyone really knows: which is the best diesel motor that toyota ever made? Is the 6 cylinder as good as the 3b?? I am not crazy about super power.. but I am crazy about durability.. I like small efficient motors that work super hard and go forever..

1993 Toyota LandCruiser for Sale. 175k miles. Overall this Cruiser is in good condition. Runs strong both on and off road. Some aftermarket equipment (Custom ARB Bumper, 9,000lb. Warn Winch, Lift Kit, Larger Oversize All-Terrain Tires, Custom Storage Box in Cargo area) in very good shape and very expensive to put on. Issues: A/C no longer blowing cold (may need recharge), passenger side rear window needs regulator. The exterior is in overall good condition, with some 'to be expected' scratches and rock chips. The interior is in OK condition. The leather shows wear, mainly in the drivers seat. Great Truck! It is sure to turn heads at your local LC Club or in your driveway. In manchester NH at Millenium Auto sales they have a pretty nice 80. Its a 97 with 120k. Dark grey with grey leather. Lockers! Body looks good etc. They said they wanted 11,900 for it which seems reasonable but I'm sure it's negotiable. I was looking for a car for the fiancee and ran across it. Not affiliated, just a heads up to the forum.

I am in the market for a 80 series 96-99 model and of course they are hard to come by. I have found several Lexus LX 450's that I believe to be a good buy. What is the difference between the two different models other than the obvious. It looks as though the lexus is cheaper when comparing. Any advice is appreciated.

Sadly, I can't continue to justify this truck on my measily pittance.
I have owned it for 8 months and loved driving it. It was previously owned by a regional manager and was listed as a fleet owned vehicle because of this.
Truck has 94000 miles and runs very well.
I have replaced the starter but not the timing belt.
It has all the bells and whistles for the year, tow hitch, leather, locker, etc. The color is River Rock.
I recently added the wheels and REVO's, as well as the brushguard and a bug shield. Tires have about 50%.
I am located in Salt Lake City. I would like to get $18500. Send me an offer.
