How you doing Guys with mixed emotions , we have made the decision to sell the 80. NO RUST, Locked , 210,xxx miles. Due to my job i don't have time to drive it.
The Good.

Life, work, family, financial circumstances and priorities have overcome me and I must reluctantly look at selling this beautiful vehicle to someone who will appreciate it for what it is, as I did. I have enjoyed every minute driving, working on and owning this magnificent example of an 83 BJ42 LX in the classic mustard yellow.
It is pretty rare as a model (last of its kind in a way - they terminated the series in 84 and its an LX to boot), and only a few were brought to Australia. Still fewer...
All maintenance work possible has been done to this rig.
BEB, Turbo, Injectors, Exhaust, timing belt, 2.5 OME Heavy Suspension etc. 33" BFG AT tires.
Moonroof and the center icemaker/fridge
225km. Body has a couple of dents. No frame rust. This rig has the CDL, but does not have factory F/R lockers.

The power steering pump has been rebuilt and the front axle/knuckles have been rebuilt with new seals and koyo knuckle and wheel bearings. 2.5" Old man emu lift w/edelbrock shocks, 285/75.16 bfg mud terrains, Kaymar rear bumper w/ gas can and tire carriers, scanguageII, and an aussie locker installed in the rear diff, manik4x4 grill guard w/ cheapy lights, optima group 31 deep cycle battery, Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD In-Dash DVD. Does throw a p0401 code that I havent messed with and just keep resetting w/scangauge.

I bought this vehicle from a customer a couple months ago and have gotten tired of fooling with it.
It has tons of new parts, but runs hot. I have block-tested it and it doesn't appear to have blown head-gaskets, but who knows...
A few of the parts I have replaced are timing belt, water pump, fan clutch, distributor, thermostat, hoses, etc.
It would make a perfect vehicle for a 3.4 or small-block swap.
Trans shifts smooth. 4wd works.
This truck is CLEAN! Must have been painted in the last few years.
Waiting on the title to come back from ALDOT.
I will take $2000 FIRM for it. If no interest at that price, it will be parted-out.

It has been treated well and many parts replaced. This truck has been a great daily driver, unstoppable in snow and has mainly seen offroading on the beach in North Carolina. The truck currently gets 17 - 18 MPG or so on the highway. No leaks, doesnt burn fluids, some surface rust and a tiny hole on drivers side rocker panel, no body damage - maybe has a couple small dings. Paint in good condition and looks great when waxed. The good: 148k original miles, good motor, good 4 speed tranny, xfer case shirts smoothly, hubs lock nicely, good paint. New head liner. NO RUST
The bad: No interior carpet, no e-brake, no radio. The dash lights dont work. Needs brake overhaul.
Problem with the truck is this. does not currently run, do to the fact that jim c is currently rebuilding the carb and dizzy for the desmogged 2f engine thats in the bay. The sale will be made once i get these 2 things back from jim c. He has had them since the first week of August, so i should be getting them back any day now.
