Frame # FJ5513791. Rolling Chassis Frame 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 incl steering rods warn hubs. Condition is Used. Local pickup only. This is a frame, complete front axle, complete rear axle (both axles include brakes), anti-sway bar, steering rods (as pictured), center steering arm, white spoke rims and used tires (they hold air!). There is a few hard brake lines and the flexible lines to the axles, but they are dry rotted. Nothing more included. See photos. This is not a virgin frame, as someone has arc welded some of the existing brackets to the frame. It looks like they removed some of the rivets, and then arc welded the brackets at the same places, but then did not replace...
I have a poorly running but great looking 1985 FJ60 sitting in my driveway that I've been trying to sort out since purchasing it this past October. I've come to realize that I am not a professional mechanic, and that this 60 should be in the hands of somebody who knows what they're doing. There's a lot of new OEM parts on it and a fresh alignment, it's just fouling spark plugs as soon as I put new (OEM) ones in. Runs and drives great for the first 1-2hr then fouls the plugs again and we're back to stage 1. I need a car to get around! Been checking out FJ55s and I'm hoping to find one that looks like crap but runs great that somebody is willing to trade with maybe some $$ on top for my truck. Current Issues: front door latch, alternator issues - no one in Jackson Hole can figure out the alternator issue with Sherman and the same rust spots listed by Greg.
Sherman is 42 years old and deserve a better life. $8500.00

I have been searching for a clean body, original paint FJ55 for some time. I could care less if it runs, has been sitting for 30 years, ect... My only stipulation is that it is has its original patina paint and no rust issues.
I would also love to keep original patina if I can find one nice enough. If not, I will do a full frame off on it.

I got this vehicle in February 2019. I am the 3rd owner of this cruiser. It was a daily driver for the original owner until around the mid 90's. Around 1995 the rear axle fell of while he was driving, he got it replaced by a shop but then stopped driving it. From 1995 to 2019 it was sitting with no movement or attention. In 2017 the second owner bought it with plans to fix it up but never got around to it, that's who I bought it from. This BJ40 Land Cruiser was recently painted and has no blemishes, dings, dents, or marks. It has new Interior, Tires, Wheels, Dash Gauges and Door Panels. It looks gorgeous! Tennessee: 1977 FJ55
A mostly disassembled FJ55 project. Everything disassembled except motor, transfer case, axels and wheels. The Birfield bar, oil pan, motor fan have been replaced with OEM parts. The rocker panels, driver side and passenger side floor pans have been repaired and the main passenger compartment shot with a coat of primer, very little surface rust remaining. Small parts were bagged, tagged, and put into containers as they were removed. The larger parts tagged as well. Other than rusted nuts and bolts, the only know missing part is the air intake boot for the air filter. Before it was disassembled, it was my daily driver.
I would rather sell it as a whole versus parting it out.

Not mine - planning to look at it tomorrow as a project for my teen and (maybe?) electric conversion. Seller was originally planning on a frame-up restoration and wrap for a local ski shop but ran out of time.
Anyone see warning signs or things to look for here? Is the price reasonable if the body and body mounts are in good condition? What about the GM Inline 6 - would that detract significantly in anyone's opinion?

Update Sat 9/7 -- Checked out the truck. It came to Longmont from Greeley CO where the prior owner had it for many years. Seller has fixed up the electrical and lighting systems so that's functional.

The time is here; up for sale is my '77 FJ55. Haven't had time to get out and use it in a while, so It's time for someone else to enjoy it.
Has York AC pump and rear AC that works when charged, leak somewhere i haven't had as a priority to track down. 33" BFGs on black steel wheels including spare. Newer TrollHole carb(installed sometime in ~2017 maybe 2018?). Interior is in great shape, no holes in seats, headliner is intact. Rear window operates perfectly, but missing weather seal. Paint has some AZ pinstriping. Cobra CB with mag-mount antenna, CD player, USB stereo. It starts and idles just fine but when under load it dies.
Also included is a front axle from a 72 that was intended to swap out to have disc brakes up front. It has...

Anyone out there with some fine swine looking for a diesel converted fj40? Unlikely no doubt, but stranger things have happened. In a perfect world, I'd like a mechanically sorted and refreshed truck with original patina, as rust free as a pig can be. Originality not mission critical, but intact without huge needs would be great. I assume this would be a pig plus cash trade. Unicorn truck and owner, perhaps, but might as well try. Even if you don't want to trade, if and when this sells, a pig as above will be next in line.
