1972 Wheelin Pig FJ55 w/ new 2F $4000 or trade for DD
1972 Wheelin Pig FJ55 w/ new 2F $2500 PRICE DROP I purchased the truck from a local member thinking I was going to wheel it often but a recent move has shattered those plans. The only reason I have to get rid of the Pig is because I need a DD. I have a FJ80 for wheeling and sadly need to sell her. Trades considered. Has dents and rust so not a candidate for a restoration project. She is a good, solid toyota. 1972 FJ 55 1977 2F rebuilt w/ less than 1000 miles, 3fe headers, new water pump, oil galley plug, new rings, bearings, and gaskets, etc 1976 front disc axle 4spd transmission and *ithink* 3-spd case NEW clutch, TO bearing, etc Machined flywheel at same time SOA setup with 3'' body lift; yeah its a big pig 35 x...
I went and looked a this pig a few days ago. Not gonna lie it looks like a P.O.S. to me but hey I'm not a 55 guy so what do I know. It's got a crappy paint job and it would probably need a frame off. But the body is fairly straight, aside from a bit of rust. No affiliation by the way. http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/2890251889.html $8900
1973 FJ-55
I had plans to do a semi restore on this but as my FJ-60 comes to a close I just dont have the energy to start this project anytime soon. It is pretty rough but could be a cheap mild wheeler with a little elbow grease. This also would be an excellent start to a truggy. Obviously looking at the pictures you can see the rust... its going to take some work to be DD if that is the intention. Title is in hand. This has been converted to a chevy 350 which runs. Heck, it fired up with 3 year old gas in it. That being said, it smokes. Whether that is the gas or worn rings I couldnt tell you. I changed the oil and then I drove it around the parking lot and then parked it. It looks to be the crate GM goodwrench 260hp version but I...

Unfortunately I haven't had much time lately. I purchased it from my buddy who had it set up for a surf trip down to South America but instead decided to go to Africa. 1977 FJ55 $6000 obo I bought this here on ih8mud from bkfj40 about 1.5 yrs ago. Since then I have done nothing with it other than start it up and drive it around my farm ever other month or so. I had intended to use this truck as a daily driver and on the trail, but right after I bought it we bought a new farm and we have been busying with construction for over 15 months now and I've had no time for this truck or my 40. My airport car in Memphis died and I need to replace it. So this truck has to go. You can see pics here from bk's listing https://forum.ih8mud.com/vehicles-trailers-sale-wanted/304205-fj55-sprung-over-36s.html#post4703449 It's still pretty much exactly as bk has described. Runs well, purrs like a kitten...
