I just replaced the front wheel bearing on my 2nd Gen Tacoma with a MOOG bearing sourced locally. That was a real B!TCH and a half to remove, but the 60-ton press finally got it to "pop". Took the same press to put the MOOG replacement back in too.
I was a little displeased to see the bearing was made of plastic, especially for $130!
I am running 12.5"x35" BF Goodrich Mudders, so I am sure stress is part of the issue with the failed bearing. Are Moog the best bearings for our pickups?
Should I look for complete hub assemblies for future replacements? What brands are the best ones, and where should I be shopping?
TIA,
Sid
