FJ55 trail rig
i have played with selling my rig before, but now its for real, i have an itch to build something so its time to see if there is interested in my pig to bring in some money or some new equipment for the shop, i'm totally open to horsetrading. its a 75FJ55 thats got a lot of work in to it. isuzu turbo diesel engine to a R150 5 speed with a marlin doubler and cruiser case. axles are still stock, all these years still no lockers. 37" tires on a SOA kept low. recently did the cage, still needs some finishing, a few crossovers and frame tie in. runs and drives great, the only known issue is a rear main seal leak and the brake master should be replaced soon. there is alot more and i can take pics of anything. we can even talk about some...
$2500 for running Pig, new 2f, and IPOR bumpers!!
$2000!!!!!! My 80 needs a trans job.. This is a repost of my original add. I didn't know I couldn't change how the title appears on the FS page so I didn't want people thinking it was still $4000. I purchased the truck from a local member thinking I was going to wheel it often but a recent move has shattered those plans. The only reason I have to get rid of the Pig is because I need a DD. I have a FJ80 for wheeling and sadly need to sell her. Trades considered. Has dents and rust so not a candidate for a restoration project. She is a good, solid toyota. 1972 FJ 55 1977 2F rebuilt w/ less than 1000 miles, 3fe headers, new water pump, oil galley plug, new rings, bearings, and gaskets, etc 1976 front disc axle 4spd transmission...
1972 FJ55 For Sale
Hello – This is a cross post from the FJ55 Classifieds Corner - I think this section gets a lot more traffic. I have decided to offer our 1972 FJ55 for sale. It is a complete, mostly original, licensed, running Pig. It also comes with a 1978 2F engine & 4 spd. transmission and some spare parts. It is located in Hailey, Idaho and I may be willing to drive (up to 4-5 hrs.?) to help w/delivery if necessary. The short answer to why I have decided to sell is that I just haven’t fallen in love with it like I have my other projects. There is a thread I started about getting it back on the road after being parked for close to 20 years located here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-pig-preservation-society/534198-new-fj55s.html . ...
1974 FJ55 Iron Pig $4500. TN
Bought this Pig a few years back and haven't had much time for the project. Body is in great shape for a resto, and have an extra roof if you want to replace it to fix the gutters on the passenger side. Interior is complete, all the way down to fire extinguisher. Frame is straight and solid, light surface rust but nothing major. Has an aftermarket muffler installed. Odo reads 37,580 but records reflect its 137,580. Has the Rochester carb, new starter, meticulous maintenance records from previous owner showing all repairs, maintenance, oil changes, etc. Starts and drives, but acceleration is rough. Wouldn't drive much further than across town with present tuning. All fluids are up to date. I believe you could tune it and drive it...

1979 FJ55 (aka Leslie) $3800
Long time lurker, first time classifieds poster. As I know many of you will understand, it's killing me to write this. Parting ways with my equally sweet and intolerable piggy (read: Rhino) after 12 joyous and heart-wrenching years. I can no longer afford to give her the time or money she deserves. I wish that I could leave her in a more dignified state (and for the $8k I originally purchased her for). Older restoration showing her age, but nice by many standards. Mostly unmolested - possible restoration or solid donor.... makes my heart heavy to say that. Documented receipts for the last 15+ years Here's the good: 1979 - Last year of 55 body style before the 60s rolled in She's a late model '79 Cali. All California emissions all...
For sale, my beloved 1977 rustbucket FJ55: I've owned this thing since 12/02. Since that time I've had the engine rebuilt (5/04), mini-truck p/steering (1/05), new springs, 2 1/2" lift (6/05), recent axle rebuild/rear locker, lots of other stuff... It runs strong. Passes Cali emissions easily. Near perfect mechanical condition. I would not hesitate to drive this rig anywhere. Comfy BMW bucket front seats. Rattlecan Numbus Green paintjob. 33x9.5 BFG ATs... There's rust, quite a bit. There's bad bodywork: that's the bad. There's rock damage: yes I wheel this rig: countless trips to the Sierra, High Rock desert, Death Valley, etc, etc. This truck has never let us down. Asking $3,600
