The car was boght from OldTimer Oldtimerfarm - https://www.oldtimerfarm.be/ in Belgium a year ago.
Did the full restoration here in Spain, but I went waaaaay over my budget.
Trying to recover my investment at best.

Looking to sell our '74 FJ40. We purchased a few years ago with intentions of rebuilding, however, life has gotten in the way and we have changed directions. Being as transparent as possible, so please don't hesitate to reach out with more questions. The best realization I can give is the pics look great, but its a 30-40 yarder, meaning up close, you can see the flaws. It will need a new paint job (we did not paint it, bought like this), the usual body work (doors are rusted where seals were, some patching needed on tub, its a '74... it will need some body work as any restoration will).... Engine, frame and chassis are in good condition which is mainly why we bought. The following has been done so far or needs to be addressed:

I purchased two years ago from a IH8MUD member (look up “Sunny the 1979”) after an extensive 6 mo search. Sunny is a US spec FJ40, with power steering, power brakes, and original dealer installed air conditioning. Built Sept 1979, is a 1980 MY.
She has been a joy to own and drive as my daily driver. Fully reliable, and drives like new.

Long story: Bought this from a local north Texas cruiser guy. He was in middle of a divorce and wanted to get rid of this. I bought it on the spur of the moment because after having messed with my son's 1968, I was in love with the idea of something that already had all the goodies, i.e. power dual circuit disc brakes, 4 speed on the floor, roll bar, parking brake on rear axle, gas tank under rig etc....

Bought this truck in 2014 from a gentlemen in Idaho with roughly 82k-84k miles. I used it on nice days, mostly in the warmer months with the top and doors off for just cruising around locally. i may added an avg of 1k miles annually since. Had a local mechanic who knows these rigs well and owns 2 himself do any maintenance and tuning if needed. Batteries are the original batteries than arrived with the truck and they are still going but couldnt tell you for how much longer...

1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 with 71,000 original miles. Had been stored in a barn until a few years ago when I purchased. Hadn’t been registered since 1996. Once I purchased I started going through the FJ with new parts. The FJ runs and drives well but will need the lights hooked up to be road worthy. The FJ is all original besides the front seats. 1966 FJ40 with a 1969 motor, original 1966 motor included. Second owner. Everything is original to the best of our knowledge. The vehicle is located in Maine.
This vehicle has always been used for ranch work and hunting trips in Wyoming. This is a workhorse. Every scratch and dent has been earned. The body has surface rust but it is in otherwise very good shape. You will see that it took some pretty good hits but those are not flaky, rusty spots - they are solid bent or torn metal and are still solid today.
Some history. I bought the vehicle from the original owner in 2005. He was retiring from his truck repair business. At the time, his sons said the mileage was original and today it has 84967 miles on it.

78’ FJ40. Started its life in Mountain Home Idaho and never left the state, at least for too long. I acquired this rig a year and a half ago from the family of the gentleman that restored it.
