71' resto mod fj40
Was hoping for some advice and any observations on this one. I looked at it over a month ago and the dealer (consigner) now says there is a motivated seller. Looks clean at least. Aluminum tub, nice paint, 350 conversion looks nicely done. The wiring looks like a nightmare though. Aftermarket harness. Brake lights not working, heat is there but not hooked up. Of the switches, only the lights and wipers are wired. I can think of some suspension upgrades and a lot of time into rewiring. I do like the restored and modified type so this one is calling to me. I could use some help talking me out of it or into. https://www.classicautomall.com/vehicles/2124/1971-toyota-land-cruiser vin is not matching, body and frame. It is a specialty...

AL 1975 FST 2nd owner
No affiliation: I went to look at this today. Turns out to be a January ‘75 FST. Runs well. The late owner (2nd owner) used this to occasionally drive in town and take it hunting. The current owner (daughter) rarely drives it and just doesn’t need it. It’s a FST with a complete best top and doors, hard top and hard doors, and bikimi top. It is fairly stock (original drivetrain, original running gear, recovered front seats, original troop seats. Repainted. However the hardtop and doors are still a white color. Owner seems to think that the original paint was just painted over. But she’s not totally sure. They is some rust. See pics. Bottom line it is a driver. It is also cool because you could buy bows and a soft top and go back to FST...

https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/d/coronado-1982-bj41-fj40-rare-diesel/7281956285.html If you are looking at this ad, you likely already know how rare this Land Cruiser is in the States. Imported directly from Japan and legally titled and registered in CA, this is a BJ41, the 4-speed diesel version of the FJ40 (no smog necessary in CA since it is a diesel). Built with the indestructible 2B engine, this Land Cruiser is designed to go anywhere forever. Beyond being a right-hand drive diesel, this BJ41 is unique because it is one of a few “LX” models, with factory black exterior, two-tone interior, chrome accents, tachometer, power steering, and air conditioning. 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser White FJ40 with Pinstripes in Reno
Here's a mostly original 78, those pinstripes were added by dealer? I have to admit I don't know enough about who and when did pinstripes, this one looks like something other than a dealer would do. Coming from Reno, I'd bet it was up there most of its life, and saw its fair share of wheeling and locking hubs in. 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser | eBay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/313363174419 $15,000
very good 40 on craigs
I knew the owner of this. He was an original founder of the first 4 wheel drive club in AZ. He bought his first FJ40 new in 1962. He restored a half dozen over the years. This one he meticulously restored and finished in the early 2000's but never really drove it very often as he developed a macular degeneration of the eyes. He lost night vision first then slowly went to legal blindness. He wouldn't sell his baby . He just kept putting parts on it and changing oils and adding lockers , lights, and extras as if some day he'd drive it. In the mean time he started and finished a 45 . He passed five or six years ago. the wife sold the 45 . The son got the 40. I have pictures of his 45 since i had done a rear bumper on it about ten years...
1995 BJ55 In Georgia (BaT)
Not connected in any way to the sale, nor do I know anything about this model (it's a J45 not 55, correct?), but seemed like something everyone would like to take a peak at over the weekend. Anyone have any experience with these Brazilian imports? I've heard/seen other South American imports can be pretty beat up, but this one is interesting if for no other reason than it's got a Toyota diesel rather than a Merc. 1995 Toyota Bandeirante BJ55 Bid for the chance to own a 1995 Toyota Bandeirante BJ55 at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online.
