Even the long saga that was @cruiserboy14 searching for his FJ40 eventually had a happy ending.
Call me an optimist, but even this thread may someday end.

Back up for sale for a short time. I'm moving and would be motivated to save the garage space for my pretty 40th anniv.


I've been driving it around some. Great rig.
 
Did you ever get around to buffing and waxing it?? I've been waiting months 😉

I have driven it a couple times. Otherwise it lives in my garage. Now I'm moving in 10 days.

No waxing, however I hit the hood with CLR. I was going to do linseed oil, but I couldn't find it. My other rig that lives outside needs it more.

Nice originality. But honestly there is too much rust on your rig for it to be worth what you’re asking. Not just surface rust, it is rott rust in some areas, which is tough to fix .
 
Heya - whats the scoup on this? Whats latest and greatest asking price? I have a buddy looking for something like this? Does this have power steering or disc brake swaps? And is engine miles known or guesstimate? Compression #s?
 
$14k, OEM disc/drum brakes, all new OEM pads/calipers/cylinders within 5k or so miles. Engine is for sure < 100k miles, estimate is about 39.6k. The original owner swapped in the cluster from the donor of the engine when he swapped in the engine. I have a tool to measure the compression numbers. Come on over and you/we can do it. I'm confident it's 150 across the board. If I had time to deal with it, I'd just restore it myself. I don't.
