This is an extremely original 1979 FJ40 with factory power steering. No modifications or poor restoration jobs. This cruiser spent its entire life on a farm in Winder, GA until the owner died in 2017. All the original bits and pieces are still there, the oem radio delete plate, original Koito headlights, oem heater, both dash pads with no cracks, even one of the original keys. No signs of previous paintwork or bondo anywhere on the vehicle. Everything works: Windshield wipers, heater, defrost, all lights around the vehicle. I believe the mileage is original...

As the title suggests, ideally I'd like to find a 1975 or later FJ40 with the original top and ambulance doors, and a body that is in decent shape - not too much rust - a patch or two on the rear quarter panel isn't a deal breaker. 33" bfg KM2 tires on FJ cruiser wheels with 400 miles including spare (set of 5).

I’m a new member looking for a 76-84 fj40, I have found 2 within reasonable distance ( one 5 hrs away and one 7), that seem to suit what I’m looking for. Of course being so far away and being what they are I am not buying without looking it over. If anybody is around Nashville, TN and maybe able to get a look at the one at Auto Pro I would appreciate it, they have pics up on their site but not if they underside or under the floor mats.

I have a 1977 FJ40 project that I will be selling. It has been in a barn since the last 1980's. Needs outside rocker panels and a rear sill. Otherwise the tub is very solid. The frame looks great and has no rust issues. The rear of the frame is perfect. The chassis has v8 engine with downey conversion in it. Original transfer case, 4-speed transmission, and disc brake axles. It comes with hardtop, front seats, rear bench seat, and roll. It was pulled apart for the v8 conversion in 1988 and has been in pieces since. This is a great restoration project for a Midwest truck. Here are a few photos of the tub. More photos available.
