Build HDJ80 LHD #snlcbuilt Ute (pickup)

So now that I have gone with a 1HDFTE engine in this build should I go with this in front of the Black Box and behind the FTE?



AB60F 200-series 1VD v8 twin turbo 6spd auto! Holy crap I think I may have just talked myself into it since I am stealing the H152 trans for my 77-series build. This would be a worlds first to put a Black Box behind this transmission, I am sure of that!!

You are causing more transmission envy. Can you put one of those behind an FZJ engine?

As you know, Cruiser and Company has their new kit to replace my old and tired 442 with an A750F-- which sounds like pure awesome. But maybe by the time I have the funds available the AB60F will be another option.

Not that my 30+ year old 80 series or its 55+ year old driver really needs six speeds

It’s more expensive than the 750, the AB60 is not cheap but still available new from Toyota. That adapter kit is also not cheap.

But yes this trans can be fitted behind a 1FZ. I am discussing things with Hyperfab.
