This is an older Gaucho made by Peg Pergo. It is a child’s version of the 1980’s Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. The build date for these are later than the model year… I would put the build date at 1992 from electric motor data found online.
My kids have had this and they want to move it on to a new family. $100 firm
It does need work as any 30+ year old vehicle would…. But not a ton … and remarkably has near zero rust… some bolt heads have some rust on them.
It runs and has a car battery for extra long run time. It would run circles around the neighbor kids cars.
Parts are still available to bring it back and restore it … or drive as is. Could...

Looking for the bottom half of a heater box for my 1978 FJ40. Top half and motor are fine, but the bottom half has a hole in it and am looking for an intact bottom.

Hello! I recently bought a 1971 FJ40, and was stoked...but my wife is still bummed that I sold my new Bronco (and lost a lot of money) to buy it. She thinks is it too tall, too loud, too small for us and our dogs, and not a fraction as comfortable as the Bronco (or her 4Runner). In addition, to get it in my garage I have to air down AND use cargo straps to compress the springs to clear the 84" door frame (the FJ is 86" tall). This Land Cruiser lived most of its life in South Carolina before I purchased it. Due to the exceptional care by the previous owner, rust was not a factor with this vehicle. It was repainted piece by piece using factor White (color code #031) in base coat clear coat. No expense was spared with the paint work on this Land Cruiser. West Side Rods and Customs in Thomson, Georgia performed the work. The paint process consists of:
2 coats of polyester primer to seal the bare metal then any bodywork on top of it. Follow that with 3 coats of polyester primer. It is then block sanded with 120 grit, 180 grit, then reprised with urethane primer...

It came to me from Texas. I haven’t found any rust. It has just been repainted and clear coated. I call it burnt orange. The painter called it salsa red. New 17x33 Falken tires. New Old Man Emu suspension with 2 inch lift. 350 V8. Sniper fuel injection system which has just been factory overhauled and upgraded. Automatic transmission.
