YotaMD Titanium Integrated Remote Key Fob Shell (2 Viewers)

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, Skimlinks, and others.

With a couple recent requests for tan (FDE - Flat Dark Earth) I've now added that to the site for easy purchase. No more need to send me a custom request. Pricing is $91 - $7 over the normal cleared price to cover the extra labor/materials to paint to order. If quantities go up a little I'll bring pricing down if I can batch them.

I also added some better pics of cleared black and the new Battle Ship Grey to the site so you can see the Stone Grey vs Battle Ship Grey.

Been putting this off as my key was in sad shape, wife broke her key. Just ordered 2, looking forward to our lifetime replacements!

Is it possible to order custom versions with, for example, LX470 or UZJ100 lettering on the side(s) of the case instead of (and/or in addition to) the YOTAMD lettering?

What about back plastics with Lexus / Toyota / Custom logos or lettering?

I haven't read the entire thread, so apologies if this has been discussed previously @suprarx7nut

Do you offer just the FDE shell? I didn't see that as an option on your site

Yeah, I could do that. I've done a couple one-offs for the back design. I have to charge small premiums for text changes and a moderate premium for logos and such on the back. They all carry a lead time 3+ weeks to allow for design, order, shipment to me and then processing before it goes out to you.

PM with any specific requests and I can provide some pricing options.

I should, yes. I forgot to update that item on the site. I'll make a note to get that updated. Thanks for the heads up.

Happy to bump this thread to let everyone know that @suprarx7nut is supporting 100s in the Hills, yet again. He is even stepping up his game this year. We will have some happy raffle winners! Thanks to YotaMD.com and Andy for the support. Love to see the HIH guys starting their own businesses and having success. @paflyter and I couldn't do this without the support and generosity.

Thanks Chris! Happy to contribute to an awesome event.

I wouldn't dare sleep on anything else! ;)

Because I have some sort of sickness, I decided orange wasn't for me and I wanted something more "standard." I decided to paint my shell white to match my truck. A few coats of paint and matte clear later, my shell matches my truck.

Word of advice for anyone interested in doing the same: Andy's key fob shells are so precisely made (a very good thing!) that any paint layers can make the screws engaging with the nuts a challenge. I had to spend time shaving and clamping to get the last screw to engage. Just FYI for those of you who are fickle like me.

On another note, those new Earth colored ones are AMAZING! That'll be my next purchase for our GX.

It is an investment, for sure. I think you'll find it more than worthy of the price tag. There have been a handful - or even a dozen at this point - of folks how have said the same thing: "I thought it was a lot of money for a key shell, but then I received it, assembled it and cranked the car. Now I get it. Totally worth it!"

I got the key, easy to put together, and like everything about it. Top quality workmanship, glad I decided to go this route. The color was stone grey and looks nice, was pretty light to start but has a little patina now with daily use which suits me. Thanks for making such an excellent product.

ordered white one today
Thanks! I expect that to ship out the second half of the upcoming week.

Are aluminum cases coming soon? If I have the current key, can I buy the aluminum cases to swap?

Aluminum prototype is on its way. I need to test out remote transmission and print accuracy before I launch that so keep an eye out for updates. The plan is to make it 100% retrofit friendly, but radio interference problems may dictate another route.

@TheAshenWolf , did you blur out the key so that no one could make a copy based on the photo and steal your truck?

The key can allow access to the cab, but you can't start a 100 without overcoming the immobilizer. That's why I haven't bothered to blur out my own keys or take down anyone else posting theirs. That being said, I can still understand the desire to keep that blade profile under wraps.

Awesome! I will be ready, I really like the idea of an Al case :)

Alright, well I have an update on the aluminum, but not a good one. It looks cool, but radio transmission is a no-go. I had hoped it would perform, albeit weakly, but it's just nearly non-functional. So no-go on the aluminum back, at least for now!

On the bright side, I'll be doing a big run on HIH fobs for folks attending HIH this year. I'll have a special addition to the back for that limited edition release.

Now the tough decision for the HIH version... all black or get creative with the colors?!

I love this idea! I would be in for an HIH key 100%.

Just a quick 2-3 month update on my YotaMD key: I used to worry about my key breaking. I no longer worry about my key breaking. Need I say more?

3 months rock solid no problem. Very rare you see a product that is well received by literally 100% of users.

I seriously love the (what I like to call) "patina" on these key fobs! I got probably one of the first 15-20 fobs (I think??) so I've had mine since mid-August of '17 and they wear very nicely. Not too much, but IMHO it matches the nostalgia of the 100 Series platform - specifically my truck in particular. You can wear them down and beat them to hell as much as you'd like, but they continue to surpass my expectations every time I use them both! Even after being submerged in a river:mad:
