I am currently using a '98 100 series which is a hand me down rig by my pops. For xx years now, i'm just using a key without a remote function to open and close the rig. Been wanting to restore the keyless function.

According to my pops when he still has the rig with the original key and built in remote, he had the alarm disabled at a car shop since it keeps going off even after locking it.

Here are the things I've done to while trying to restore it:
* i've located the door control receiver and it's plugged in
* i've located the anti theft module at the center console and is plugged in
*recently changed all motors of door lock actuators in preparation of re-programming remote
* tried the 2 different methods to go into re-programming mode but was unsuccessful

Are there other parts I need to check to make this work? fuse, relay? Is the door control receiver the only part responsible to have the car go into re-program stage?

Looking forward for your insights on this. thanks!

Can't say as I know but I would recommend downloading the wiring diagram from the Resources tab above. Then you can Identify what fuses and ECM's are involved.

How can I check if this door car receiver still works?
