Made a quick call to Bryce at @cruiseroutfit for a transmission gasket kit and the front bearing cover oil seal. Got the front half of the tcase cover on and a bit more. Been following @orangefj45 Georgs video... had the high/lo assembly in but pulled it again to add the idler shaft.
Working vertically... per @cruisermatt who I think just likes to see how far I’ll take his dares... I’m a smidge hesitant how I’ll move it later but I’ll get there, always do. That hoist is a beotch to maneuver into the garage space. Will see later.

Fel, can you please provide a link to Georg’s video you are following.

I’ve been trying to find it but haven’t had any luck.

I don't know if this is what she is following but there is this one:

If not, screw me and carry on.

I like the finish on the case and the red paint.
It’s orange! :) But yes thanks, I’m liking the gray on the gear box w/ the orange and aluminum tcase too.

I'd like to get one of those color sheets that have various grades of colors...label each and then compare them with other people. I know sometimes color looks different due to lighting or camera processing but I also know that everyone sees color a little different. Could just be my eyes too...I've certainly had the blue vs purple debate before :D

Few bumps along the way to get here but there they are together. And yes, my PTO is on the wrong way, luckily it don’t matter.

Your PTO gear is installed backwards, but that only matters if you're running a PTO unit.

Georg
Yeah you and I discussed that already too. :)

I’m ready, I think, to put the cover on but so anxious about it. Figured I’d watch the end of Georgs video and maybe Ottrams too... procrastination. Funny tho the shift fork (doodad) hi/lo outer lever that is outside the case, Georg has on opposite from both book copies I have. “Make sure ‘dat” must be a Cali thing. Seems the consensus is it can go either way, clearance might just be affected.

I can see a lot of areas for improvement when it comes to guidance. Lots of areas of “huh ****ing what” pause, rewind, play, multiple times. But we are great critics, esp when we’re trying to follow along. And holy crap to @Onur noisy nasal passenges! Haha! Saline spray works wonders man. I love watching Georg haul ass slamming the races in. Hilarious. I’m a tough chick but apparently inherently more gentle.

I found to press on the seal for the speedo gear my size 11 husky socket fit right in perfect. Figured that out before just now seeing Georg suggest the idea. Smart minds!

I measured all the bolts as I had removed them as I was noticing different lengths. Glad I did.

This is the worst error I’ve seen yet in the FSM.
