It’s said the best thing you can buy for your old Land cruiser is a reliable economy commuter car!

Looks like you're good to go!Stock rods, new wrist pins, oversized ITM piston and ring set, resurfaced flywheel, ground and polished crank undersized .25mm.

Maybe your old Land Cruiser. Mine has a gas guzzling reliable (reliable in that I get 12-13mpg no matter what) '07 F150.It’s said the best thing you can buy for your old Land cruiser is a reliable economy commuter car!
I’ll get it done before the weekend is done but going into my ‘work week’ right now. Thank you for the advice, I figured as much to not oil then paint. For now it’s greasy and bagged in plastic in the garage. Thank you!Mazda 4 cylinders are bullet proof. Had a Mazda 626 did 200 miles a day at 80 mph didn't use a drop of oil between changes up to 285k. Got rid of it because it needed a windshield and tires and my commute went to 8 miles/day.
Personally I would mask off and paint the block like right now. Then just wipe motor oil on the bores, cam bearings and bearing journals. Oil the piston assembles and crank. You don't want to oil before painting IMHO.
I’ve heard the same w/ old motor oil. Spray it on and go for a drive on a dirt road. It would just stink tho... fluid film does too as does the linseed. This guy swears by WD40 as an undercoating. The secret is to let the dust stick to it which forms the barrier
