F,

You're more than welcome! Hope they give you years of service! I plan to steal a few of these pics for when I get the valves up on the website.

Awesome, please do. Lmk if you need better ones too. I'm sure I'll be taking many more pixs.

Also I've got one push rod coming to my dealer for one buck over the price TPD was asking, $17 and change. Thanks all for the guidance today on that issue.

Popped and screwed my first hole. Hehe. Sorry guys, I had to say it.
Ok, in all seriousness, I pulled the galley plug (heads off still), tapped it and added a set screw and blue loctite.
Wish I could say I've done more but need to decompress from 5 days w/ my insanely strong willed 4 year old son. Sunday about 1pm is the reinstall day.
Will chase the head bolt holes tmrw after work if it's not raining or Sunday AM. The rest of this evening I'm relaxing w/ a beer, chips and guacamole.

15 holes... I ain't Tiger but close!
Ha, thanks so much @OSS for giving me the heads up on the thread chaser of @gregnash's.
They were in definite need of a good chase!
Lots of crud. Threaded the tap in till it began to bound then backed out. Did each three times till I was about 5 teeth before solid shaft. Then threaded a new bolt in finger tight till each went about three teeth before solid shaft. All nice and smooth.
I seriously love this experience. The mix of anxiety and excitement is so tantalising. Nothing beats it!

Ha! s***ty maybe to you but it's cheap and decent for me. Better than a Bud or a Corona. It saves me $$ to spend on truck parts too!

Never even heard of it! Typically and as of the last few years (esp since they started selling it here in CT) I usually just buy a 12 of Yuengling. It'll last me awhile as I at most have one or two ever at a time. I'm not much for overly hoppy or bubbly.

Yuengling is one of my favorites, but a NO GO this side of the country. STINGY GUTS! I had a friend ship me a case every so often once upon a time and he moved...

Hook me up your address.

I had to put up with a roommmate and friends in college who couldn't do without their Jax beer, which at that time could be had on special for 99 cents a six pack (that's the only reason they coudn't do without it).

Welp she's back in place. Ooof was I stressed! Apparently internally cuz when I apologised after my friends said 'that was stressed?'
We didn't get pixs of the movement onto the block which is a bummer. My two guy friends helped hover it and I was leaning way in to help line it up. My gf (who is w/ one of the guys) was trying to help me cuz the stool I was on chose at that moment to do it's fold up trick so she was holding it for me. We used a stretch of 2x4 50" long to fit between the hood hinges.

(Prior to install I followed the tip Fred gave me about oiling the threads and wiping some off, threading it in and watching if oil migrated to the top. He said if it did to unthread it, wipe the bolt clean, clean out the hole as much as I could and try again w/ less. It clicked and I did the same amount after install for each on a clean flannel rag).

Once everyone left I got moving on the new head bolts torque sequencing thanks to @OSS, and his awesome text guidance. And thank god for my ugly tube bumper. I was able to get some leverage on it for a few awkward bolts once I was at 90ft/lbs.
Then I had a mini heart attack moment when I pulled the one new push rod from its Toyota bag (#4 had a pretty hefty gouge and was bent) and saw the very obvious difference in the shape of the cup from the original ones. Thanks to @beno for his prompt response reassuring me that it was indeed the right part. My cutting costs hopefully won't hurt me in the long run. He and Toyota apparently recommend replacing the rods in bulk. Doh.
Rocker assembly is on. And tossed on the cover for the time being.
Manifolds need some cleaning up before mating back together.
Mosquitos made me quit for the night.... to be continued after work tmrw.

Will do Greg but I'm gonna pull the oil cooler while it's empty since I have a new oil filter gasket and o-rings and copper gaskets too. Bought them awhile back.
As well as replacing the rest of the coolant hoses and clamps. I have a ton of stuff to do but am able to get very little done while my son is w/ me. Just too hard to have him be occupied long enough for truck time.
Tmrw after 1pm and thru the weekend I hope to get a bunch done.

And I'll get that bolt chaser back to you when I can swing by the PO child free tmrw.
