I like the new cupholder design. If that isn't financially feasible, I would skip it all together. Someone mentioned putting a rubber coating on the flat surface. Would be a great idea.

From your end, do you have a target price? It doesn't make sense adding all these extras on if it will be too expensive.

Also have you thought of making a mini fold out table as another option so you could store stuff on it while you are digging to the back of the console or use it for food.

no not really, thats more of an individual project.

Still toying with ideas.

I don't but mainly because I don't have a price back yet. If you check my other stuff you can get a general range of where I try and keep things. I don't plan on retiring on this. :P

Oh before I forget, the shelf is getting rolled edge on both sides. This means if you use the lowest setting of 1" or highest setting of 2.5", there is an edge to prevent things from just ejecting off.

The AC bezel 100% will be aluminum. No reason for any other material option. Well...could do ABS or Delrin to some extent :hmm:

You got that I was mainly joking I hope. Enjoying your 60 product development.

Like the last iteration you have there @NLXTACY. So any idea on pricing yet or still working that out with your builder?

retainer for what? Not sure I follow.

I have my vehicle papers, winch remote, air pressure gauge and some other small stuff tuck in there .. with the door open in the cup holder configuration " mode " all that stuff will come out ..

AC Bezels ?!?! Have I missed a post somewhere ?!?!?

Lol!

Thanks. :P

I’ll have quote pricing back soon.

FWIW I have prototypes being made now. I should have in a week or two.

In other news, I ordered a bunch of these LED lights hoping I would like them. Ugh!! Chinese junk!!

The light output is fine, especially for a GloveBox, but the wire is .0095” thick. My beard hair is THICKER!!! I can’t use this thing. Argh.

I hear you regarding the thin wire BUT with an LED it doesn't need to be any larger. I've found the same issue with most LED assemblies I've encountered. Once installed it is a non-issue.

I just put an LED bulb in my factory fixture. Ordered it from superbrightleds.com and the light output is great, plus no rewiring or mods necessary. On thins is requiring a large enough hole in the insert to accommodate the OEM fixture.
