That’s what I don’t like, that big hole :hmm:
No one likes a big hole....

FWIW I have prototypes being made now. I should have in a week or two.

In other news, I ordered a bunch of these LED lights hoping I would like them. Ugh!! Chinese junk!!

The light output is fine, especially for a GloveBox, but the wire is .0095” thick. My beard hair is THICKER!!! I can’t use this thing. Argh.

They are small yes. 3 options.
1. Solder them to a larger wire
2. Use a connector (unshielded blade female/male then covered with shrink tubing, or other type or connector)
3. leave it without a connector and let the end user deal with it (I would rather not have a connector so I can wire it myself).

I have done both 1 and 2 on my various vehicles. Never been an issue and always worked.

AAAAAAAAWWWWWW s***!

Prototypes are in hand except for the door and RHD box, that comes tomorrow. So far everything is looking really really good. Couldn't be happier. Later on it'll get the test fit and and final production notes. I am still waiting on pricing so no clue on cost yet.

In this pic is the LHD glove box insert, the shelf, the locking cam, the locking plate and the door bracket:

The shelf at its highest position at 2.5". Flip it around and the shelf is 1" tall.

Wow - that's cooler than a pair of Rainbow Crocs!

Annnnnnnnnnnd the test fit into a 62...

Overall incredibly happy with the way it fits. It just slid into place once pushed the harness out of the way on the right side.

A couple small tweaks. The bend radius on the side flanges was too tight. This created an interference with the OEM door when closed. Easily fixed in production. Going to move the right side out. It will help with the clearance on the OEM door, and fill the gaps in the corners that you see in the pictures.

This is badass and I am ready to go!! Take my money already !!

Nice work. Puts the original to shame given the durability theme build of the OEM trucks themselves. Count me in for the 60 LH drive version.
A small rat can easily compromise the original design. Well done!!!

A mouse made my other 60’s box into a nest. Luckily I caught it before it did crazy damage.
