a lot of good products out there, but these cost less and may be stronger?

Seems that all good quality Toyota aftermarket is hand made and very strong....bet a hand didnt touch that bumper.

I can't say I am a fan of that bumper either.

You could consult with a local fabricator. It looks like something that could be built for and 80.

I bet a few hands did. It's stout. I'd say they churn out more ARB's than they do specialty Ranch Hand bumpers like this one. I waited four months for this one some time back. It is not a standard Superduty truck bumper.

I can tell you from drilling the holes for the electrical connection that the steel is harder than an ARB. ARB steel is like butter in comparison.

you see alot of front and rear bumpers like this in Texas...They are always on Fords/Chevys/GMCs. I guess there is just such a huge market for these, that they can mass produce them. They are probably cheaper than the 1000$ + bumpers that most LC aftermarket ones, but quality is also less...

Folks - these are not imitations. The real thing. You see these bumpers everywhere, not just in Texas.

They can make more due to market demand, but they are not " cheap ". Price a few and see what you find. My front bumper cost more than the ARB on my 80 - and the steel is harder and the hardware is superior.

Just a thought I had today.

Looks like poo

The diamond plated bumpers are everywhere in the rancher/farmer areas. You can go into numerous places in Texas and get a "Ranch Hand" brand type front or rear bumper without any wait in the purchase process. My dad has one on his Ford and my buddy has one on his Dodge. They are ugly but pretty stout. They wouldn't look so bad if they got rid of the diamond plate but I guess thats what people want.

I don't like that design, either - sorry

I like it. It might be what I need on the back of my suburban.

Got a side shot?

The reason is because they probably sell as many in a month as ARB sells LC bumpers in 10 years.

Most good fab shops can make a bumper like that for a reasonable price. It is not that complicated.

Ranch Hand bumper (Kaspar Wire) in Shiner Texas - across from the Shiner Brewery. I sell them their steel. A36 3/16". They are strong but I don't care for the looks.

I like their rear bumpers as they appear to be very functional and tough, something you would have on a work truck / off road use. The front bumpers I see on the 2500 series trucks seem to be a little overkill both in size and design. Ranch-Hand Yes I'm sure their stuff is more of a work truck product but it does look like it can take some hard use.
