Both of them were at the counter yesterday so I'd say yes.

90116-10150 is the guess. Not quite as long as his sample but it appears the nut will run down far enough to hit the locking collar. He took the old stud with him so positive confirmation is pending.

Were you able to mount the H55 crossmember into the original frame bolt holes?

Yep. The truck is a 5/1985, and the Crossmember came from the '87 HJ-61 Half-Cut, I think. But it bolted right up, and I welded the motor mounts on to correspond to the transmission crossmember. I may have gotten lucky.

Were you able to find a stud that might work? I have tried many that are available in the US market but have not been able to find some that work.

I wasn't thinking! I should have left the stud with you. I only have 11 others just like it--give or take. ;)

I got so much done (getting the engine back in the frame) that I figured I better head home early this morning to get some stuff done here. I've got piles and piles of slash to get burned this winter, and of course the 60's wiring harness is up here in CO, so now that the engine is in (and I made a few measurements yesterday) I need to get busy buttoning it up, so that I can get the harness back to NM and into the truck!

2 Toyota parts gurus at work .. quite a help !

looking forward on your clutch feedback ..

Very helpful. Comparing the ease of doing this sort of thing now, compared to the 2LT-E swap (I didn't know CDan or Onur at the time), it's night and day easier for me.

With any luck, you won't hear a single word about the clutch for a very long time! If it works as well as it seems like it should (after installing it) I shouldn't have to open it back up for a very, very long time.

I'm almost certain I will use the same for the 45, whenever I finally get to do it up. Some magical, mythical day.

Copy Boss. Will await confirmation because I know of many folks who want this part and the actual 1HZ stud is a "non-import" status part.

Thank you.

As you well know David, both @cruiserdan and I have worked together and will continue to work together to make sure accurate and important information is available for the LC community.

I think it's 21 splines. I just used it since it is in the kit. But I also have another 21 spline alignment tool in the shop--that I will check it against. I bought the other one from an auto parts store a long time ago--to do the clutch on the faux-lux. If it's the same: would you like one of them?

Dan

@DanS HJ45 not sure if I am remembering this correctly but for some reason I thought that not all 21 spline alignment tools are the same. Do you remember if the B Series one has the same size stub for the pilot bearing? I thought those may be different for some reason.

The 21 spline tool that I used for the 2LT-E fit int he original 1HZ clutch. And we used that one for the 3B, I think. Maybe I've got ANOTHER 21 spline tool in there! So I'll compare them next time I'm in the shop.

I had a free day. So I'm in the shop right now.

Quick update for @cruiserdan and @beno
