NICE!!!! That saves me about $100 right there... Didn't know that. Now what about the McMaster-Carr bands that are like the PFRAN ones? Just in case the OEM clips aren't all that solid?
They’re cheap directly from McMaster-Carr. I have the part numbers around here somewhere and can post when I find them.

PS - Here’s photo of everything included in outboard kit:

@JunkCrzr89 you are a life saver... Should have the inner tulips this weekend and then will start purchasing stuff...

Will be a messy but fun job, the outcome of which I think you’ll be pleased with!

I ordered direct from McMaster-Carr as well. No response from PFRAN after I ordered them, followed up with an email that wasn't responded to, and am now going through the PayPal refund process. You'll get extra going direct, but they'll arrive quickly.

How much for 2 kits? I think it might be best solution for me as well. But I also need to find donors..
Outboard CV kits are ~$200-250 a piece. So approximately half the price of a new axle assembly, but gives you everything new except inboard tulip. Inboard tulip seems to rarely (if ever) warrant replacement anyways.

Oh yeah completely expect that... Can't be any worse than rebuilding the front axle on a 60 series... think I went through like half a dozen or so rolls of heavy paper towels when I did that.

The process is similar to rebuilding Birfields. If you’ve popped the joint off a Birf, then you’ll have zero issues doing this job.

Yeah I figure that the hardest part is going to be getting the inner tulip in past the snap ring that holds it. I bought a long pry bar just for this as I knew it was coming. At least with the 60, me being 6', I was able to sit with the birfield in my lap and get a foot on the front driveline and kinda rotate it while rotating and inserting the birfield to get the splines to line up and slide into place. That made things easy to get it in for sure. No snap ring to hold it all down and lock in place.

It’s wayyy easier on the 100’s CV! No pry bar needed for the inner joint or tulip 😎.

How difficult of a job is this? I have a shop that will do it for $200 labor if I supply parts.

If it truly is about the same level of difficulty as doing the birfs on a 60 series, then like a   job at max. Not overly difficult, just takes time and patience and lots of rags.

It’s easier than Birfs for sure. I give it 1/2 🍌. As @gregnash noted, just a messy job because of old CV grease.

Is different clamps necessary? Is it 100% that OE will leak?
OEM clamps should be fine if not lifted, but M-C smooth band work drive clamps are cheap and easy.

Ouch

But you’ll appreciate the feel of the new driveline

Ok so I will hopefully be ordering the outer axles this weekend as I just got the inner tulips from @87warrior.
They arrived in great order, little surface rust that I will sand off and paint with a black rust inhibitor paint, but otherwise in great shape.
So the cheapest places I am seeing the outer axles are all right around $190/ea.
I know I have read good things about McGeorge Toyota
But there is also Boch Toyota, and
there is Toyota of Nashua, or the cheapest
is Earnhardt Toyota in Az (cheapest shipping cost) though slightly higher cost than the others. Anyone familiar with any of these guys?
All are right about the same price and shipping to me is about $65, making grand total just under $450 for everything.
