Hi everyone,
In Costa Rica the Pig is still on the garage.
Currently setting new pulley for power steering and LPG setup, and hopefully,, I will have chevy 350 ready for next year( need a little more power)

Is it because a lot of peeps hang out in the 40-55 section? I see sawtooth in there all the time. I drove his 40 the other day. very well put together. Just needs some power or gears or both:hhmm:

I currently lack funds to through at my dumb pig. I did very recently pick up a 98 trd extended cab tacoma that I'm very excited about. It was silly cheap. Guy thought a lot of things didn't work, turns out they did:doh:

Wow,Just when I think I'm getting a compliment....:flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

that wasn't a compliment? I totally thought it was! Your 40 is sweet, I'm jealous, I wish had one in that good of shape. So there. Take that Poophead. Also jealous of your Tacoma. I want a double cab wicked bad. Also I hate you. But that's just the jealousy talking.

I am still here. I think we are a dying breed.

Pablo, sorry to here I wont get to meet you at the rally. I was looking forward to it. Maybe next year.

I am sorry too.
It is a fine line trying to balance family time vs. Pig time. The RR is something we can all do, I don't think the :princess: would go to the Rally.

I am still here, piggy still in the garage waiting to get restored. I am stepping back a bit from landcruisers in general for awhile, back to school for me, total career change in order to sync with the way the world has changed.

I know, it is funny how time and life march on in the midst o these projects.
How long have you been restoring your Pig?
What did you used to do? What are you transitioning to?
You have kids now too?

yup, little girl, I think I started in 2005? not sure, have not touched it in a few years, will get it done eventually, been in high tech sales for 10 years, tired of sales and want to do something else, going into diagnostic medical sonography, ultrasound tech, next 3 years should be fun, but actually am enjoying school.

always lurking
Don't seem to need to do much to my pig, thankfully. It's only taken 10+ years and countless $ to get there. There's always little stuff, but for the most part, when we want to go wheelin', we load her up and go

Well, TJ, you should get some action soon. Now that the ribs have healed up, and I stopped playing musical jobs, I can finally kick start the Moviestar project (much to the delight of Elyse, I am sure)

Its been a while, but I have fabricated two lower quarter patches, need to finish installing them, then the new Frankencruiser corners go on...then floor pan? Been so long, almost forgot where I was on it!

Anyway, I will start posting pics on Moviestar like I did on Deconstruction.

Stay tuned!

I'm always lurking too, have been traveling for business and just recently returned from a 12 day vacation/wedding.

I SHOULD have some huge updates on my build soon. I dragged my soon to be bro-in-law (bonding trip) up to Tahoe from So-Cal. We picked up Bigsals piggy and trucked back in 10 hours. Fun trip, good food...mmm Eric Schat's sandwiches/cheese bread.
Huge shout out to Bigsal, thanks again for all the help. Let me know if you need anything!
Hope to post some big updates and some tings in the classified section.

Simon

Recently moved across the country to Minnesota for a career change. Lost my house back to the bank, but they won't get my piggy. I brought the project with me and plan to start up on it again in the spring. It's the only thing left I own that I really care about. Hopefully I will be able to load up on overtime from now until spring so I can hit it hard then. My plan is to pull the remainder of the body off the frame and repair/replace rusted sheet metal. Install rocker/step rails. Fab up custom gas tank to go with the 6.0 Vortech engine. Sand blast and powder coat the frame after all welding is done. Fab up a new rear hatch-type window and delete the existing window in the tailgate. Repaint, reassemble. Hopefully drive it again....Someday!

Sorry about your house jtrock---internet woes on my end coupled with grandkids suddenly moving in--plus its been so damn hot.

Holiday season coming--going to go through my left over window rubber stash and maybe do some cruiser karma---we'll put names in a hat and draw some names for a winner soon----will let you guys know when I'm ready--dave

I was living in Boise, ID. Left my house there for the bank to deal with. Oh well! Life goes on! I have a good job here and next spriing should be good for some cruiser-work.

I'm not dead yet either. Been busy with Motorcycle Trials all year, and working on the '77 Dodge van I got to haul the bikes.

Piggies still around and running. Drove the blue one to work today. It had not been started since June. Fired right up.:D
