So it looks like 4Wheel parts doesn't carry any steel wheels (pro comp) in the 16x8 6 on 5.5 with 3.5" backspacing anymore. I had that wheel bookmarked and I get an error. I also can't find that wheel anywhere! It doesn't have to be pro comp but I like the rock crawler look. I'm getting some rubbing that I can't take anymore with my Level 8s because of the spacers, so I want to go steelies with the proper backspacing.

Looks like Stockton Wheels might be my best bet unless anyone else has any options? I want to stick with the wheel size because my tires are only a year old and I like the 16".

Get Toyota steelies:
Fit the 60. No rubbing.

Stealth Custom F5 Matte Grey Gunmetal
17x9 with 3.5" ( -38 mm ) BS
Toyo MT's 285/75R17

As much as I like these for looks, fit and balance. I think they might be a bit wide. I'm still on the fence, I have a BJ74 that the old
ProComps 17x9 with 4" BS are now on. The extra 1/2" seems to make a difference to me, just getting a lot more mud and debris down the
side of the truck. But they do look perfect.

They were not designed for the 60 so Toyota doesn't cross reference them.
They fit. Ask Beno. He has them.

So I can't find any black rock crawlers on Summit or 4WheelParts that have the proper backspacing to fit our 60's. I bookmarked one but it's gone. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/R..._c=11&t_s=209&t_pt=100021&t_pn=PCW97-6883R2.5

None on the ProComp website either.

I'd like a 16x8 but I'd be fine with a 15x8 at this point or any other 15 or 16 that had the right backspacing in black steel. Did they discontinue these? I'm about ready to throw on my chrome OME steelies and paint them black.

I'll reiterate here.

An interco re seller talked dirt on getting product from Interco and tried to sell me other products, so I called Interco direct, and they offered to sell me 5 Bird dogs for 100.00 a wheel. They have the proper BS for the fj60, and I have mounted both 315's (35) and 285 (33) without issue. They are 9" wide and the inner lip both sides make airing down a fraughtless affair. You can go low.

Being they are black, why buy steelies for more? this is a great design for a an offroad wheel. the next best being DOT hutinsons for 450 a wheel.

They were on my front porch in 3 days.

Photos???

page 17. those were the 33's, 2" body lift, no spring lift yet.

Phew. 19 pages and I still need to ask directly 'cuz I couldn't find the answer was hoping to find (or maybe I missed it?). I was going to purchase 15x8 wheels with 3.75" BS. I read towards the end of this thread that 3.625" is the "magic" backspacing for 15x8s....but does that mean 15x8s with 3.75" will NOT work at all (oh and I don't want to add any spacers).....again I want to avoid spacers and any rubbing of course. So anyone with experience running 15x8s with 3.75" BS (and no spacers)?

(Thats an 86 FJ60 on OME suspension and 285/75/16s, that came from American Toyota in NM, still wearing its original paint and the American Toyota dealer sticker on the tailgate!)
I really like this set up and plan to do the same with my cruiser. Can't decide between KO2, Nitto Terra Grappler or Pro Comp A/T Sport. Do you know exactly what the tires height is mounted? My 32x11.5 BFG KO only measure 30.25" and am looking to get to 32.5"-33".

Go back to #80, ProComp Series 98 in a 17"x9" with 4" B.S.

I can confirm this wheel / tire combination works. two issues (must run stock front brake caliper) and (I modified my bump stops to keep the tires from coming all the way into the wheel well) I have heavy/heavy OME suspension lift with 2inch body lift. in my case have toyo tires 17 *35*12.50

** I previously had 4runner calipers on front...which required 1/4 wheel spacer to clear the caliper on these specific wheels. So I did not like giving up 1/4 of the wheel stud due to lug nut engagement, and it was live with that or grind the the calipers for clearance. I chose to just change back to stock calipers. I looked for longer replacement front wheel studs but never found any that were of simple replacement type. I guess you could drill "hub" to put longer wheel studs of your choice but decided I did not want to do that. As I did not see much difference in the brake performance of the calipers, at least from my perception.

Contact @beno. He has these on his truck (and sells them).
I don't have these wheels. I've been told by beno that they fit and there is another thread or two where members have them on their cruiser with no issues. No spacers.
16x7 absolutely.

awesome, thanks! the 7" width was kind of a deal breaker for me...looks like I'll be getting these...

I bought a set of five for my '89 FJ62 axles - the axles and wheels are going on my '86 FJ60 project, along with BFG LT235/85R16 ATs and an OME heavy suspension from Cruiser Outfitters. Can't wait to get done and share some photos :).
OK, a photo:

Note - the 3FE, H55f, FJ62 transfer case, and OME suspension have not yet been installed, but it gives you general impression of how they'll look.
