Will this wheel work on a stock FJ60?

TM5, 15x8 with 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern - Gloss Black

3.5" back spacing

106.25mm center bore.

Just as a reference, I think the stock 60 series chrome steel 15x6 wheels weight a back breaking 45 lbs ea.

Can anyone confirm? I have been dying to know how much these babies weigh.

No, I put one on a scale, they weigh about 25 lbs each.

what changes did you notice, good or bad when going to the larger tire/wheel?

I haven't driven it much since putting on the new tires but so far I like the setup. Stock 62 is a dog on climbs so the heavier meat doesn't help - and I'm in flatland DFW. We had strong winds Sat (25mph gusting ~40mph) and although I had to keep the pedal buried to maintain 70mph against headwinds the truck felt more stable than the OEM+10.5 tires. With high winds the previous setup liked to wander, not so much with the wider tires. I have yet to flex to see how they stuff but road use so far feels a lot better. The road improvement could be various things though - the previous tires were pretty sad (around 5 years old or so) and they were mud terrains with unevenly worn lugs, missing lugs that were ripped off, etc... Basically it was a noisy/bumpy ride so switching to new tires made a huge difference. We'll see, I ran the OEM setup since purchase (~8 years) and was ready for wider tires/stance without spacers.

I'm in a bit of a pickle for what to do about the new wheels I've ordered. I had a rear tire and my spare blow out within 2 weeks of each other so it was time for new tires. I'm pretty sure my old chrome wagon wheels were bent so I convinced the wife to let me buy 5 new wheels along with the new tires. I purchased a set of 5 KO2s in 33x10.5x15, I'm currently running 33x12.5x15 and I wanted skinnier tires.

I purchased Vision Wheel 85 Soft 8 Series Black Wheels 85H5783NS from Summit. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/VSW-85H5783NS
Which are 15x7 with a 3.75" backspacing so I thought I was in the clear for fitment.

I just received the wheels tonight and through one on to double check and the lip on each circle is rubbing on the caliper.

I'm trying to decide which route I should take to resolve the issue;
1. Grind the lip...8x5=40 holes to grind.
2. Grind about 1/8" off the caliper.
3. Install 1/4" spacers on the front wheels.

I'm leaning toward option 1. As it seems to have the least amount of safety impact in the long run.

If they are barely scraping I would grind the caliper as there is NORMALLY plenty of meat to them. That will be your quickest and easiest solution.

16x8.5 with a -25mm offset (3.6 backspacing)...
Thinking this is the perfect wheel size for my FJ62. Oh, and the hub bore is 108mm.

I run the Level 8 Trackers in a 15" and they've been great. I think @theron ran that same wheel in that size on his rig quite successfully.

FYI, I think you can get a much better price buying those directly from Discount Tire. Currently listed on their site (in my zip code) for $100 each.

EDIT: sorry the $100 price was for the matte black. The polished alum is $130/ea.

Yep, I've those Level 8 Trackers, in black, in 16" and 17"....they've been great.

I also got mine from discount tire that way they count mount and balance them and I just show up for the install. They were the same price as everywhere else when I looked
