Nice! How much do those weigh?
I didn’t have a chance to weigh them before having the tires mounted on but they’re pretty light and maybe it’s all in my head but the truck drives and brakes much better with them compared to my previous wheels.

Im on a hunt for the lightest 17” wheel with 0 offset. Money not an issue, if anyone has any lead let me know. Lightest I can find are the trd rock warriors but I don’t want to run spacers and want something more aggressive

Here’s my current setup with 18x9 raceline 944B in 12mm offset. Wheel weigh 32lbs and tires weigh 58lbs per tire.

If the lightest wheel is most important, then just go with 16's as the tires will be lighter too. The 16x8 Volk TE37 are ~16.5 lbs each.

Reason I like 17s is because I’d like to run 285/70/17 C rated KO2s, they’re 50lbs each. I think the 285/75/16 KO2s are all E rated, there isn’t a C option. I don’t do anything hardcore that justify the E rating, but I do like the look of the KO2s. I’ve been using KO2s all my life so I don’t know any better.

@FxFormat I never weighed my Winrace S wheels, but Braid says they are ~30 lbs. They make a forged one that is similar-ish in style that's forged (and I presume even lighter).

My Winrace S wheels were ~$650 each and the forged UR4s are ~$1700+ each. They'll machine whatever offset, bolt pattern and hub you like. If you can afford the price tag and wait time (and find a style you like), I think Braid makes some of the best options out there.

This is the exact reason I went with 17's, to run C rated KO2's in that size

Back when cars had low compression engines and poor aerodynamics, as late as the mid-1930s, people would order lightweight wooden wheels to give a performance lift.

The same debate goes on 90 years later. Laws of rotational mass haven't changed after all this time.

Got some trail time finally. LOVE the wheels/tires. Still ZERO rub. I think it's safe to say they fit with no mods at all.

This was at ~15psi cold, 18 psi hot. Very compliant, but seems the tires could take even less with ease.

This wheel setup is what I am looking for... I unfortunately don't have the money to drop on the Braids right now.
Are there any cheaper alternative wheel that you are/were aware of when you were purchasing these?

Hi all,

It’s been a while but I finally got my wheels on my 2006 Lexus LX470. I was going for Method 703 with a +35 offset. Was on back order for the last 6 months with no end in sight. Good deal came along where a set of Method 312 came along at 400$ reduced price because boxes were damaged (not the wheels) so really good deal. Wheels are 17x8, 5 5x150, 110.5 with a 0 offset with BFG KOII 285/70/17 tires. No rubbing! The zero offset made me nervous but they fit well and look good! The only issue is that the front hub caps don’t fit on, as the hub protrudes out so the cap doesn’t fit. I called Method and they don’t make a hub cap spacer (I don’t want a wheel spacer only a hub cap spacer).

I tried to find hub cap spacers but could not find anything online. Anyone have a website that helps with hub cap spacers???? Need about 1/2 inch spacer for front end only. Thanks for your feedback and never forget there is somewhere out there not explored yet, go find it!

Do you have any lift kit? I'm a newbie owner of a 100 series and I'm shopping for wheels and tires.

After many searches, finally pulled the trigger on Method 705 on my 1999 LX.

Unlike my 01 LC, I wanted to retain original suspension set up (AHC) and try to keep as stock as possible. So, was looking for little improvement /larger size tire. Came upon 705s on Craigslist and newish 285/65/18 Falkens on mud classified.

Here’s the details.

- Suspension: stock AHC.
- Method 705s: 18x9 and 25 offset
- Tires: Falken Wildpeak AT3W 285/65/18
- No spacers needed.

The fit is great. No rubbing of anything on normal height setting. The treads doesn’t poke out of wheel well. The tire itself pokes out a little.

The front center cap issue was resolved by using 3D printer file from @cryptyk to extend the cap about 1.25”. The 703 extensions will work on 705s.

I'm so glad these worked out for you!

I definitely recommend a davb of silicon in the slots where the tabs fit into the print. The friction fit isn't bad, but I'd hate for you to lose a method cap!

Anybody actively selling those Method extensions? Need those for my 703s...

Money no issue? Look at Innov8. I had them on my Raptor. Very nice wheels. Innov8 Racing High quality American Made Forged Racing Wheels - https://www.innov8racing.com/

Just a quick update for anyone printing the cap extensions. I reprinted the Method wheel cap extensions in NylonX with Carbon Fiber for some extra durability. They turned out much better than the previous PETG prints.

On the left are the previous PETG prints. Not bad, but a little glossy and you could see the layer lines. They also would snap tabs off if you weren't careful installing them. The new ones on the right are right out of the printer - no sanding or anything needed. Zero lines, nice matte textured finish, and the Nylon+CF is WAY tougher. It's also more resistant to heat and chemicals. They should last a lifetime.

Are you selling these? If so, I would like to buy a few. For now, I just painted the dust caps on my front hubs black but would like a proper set of center caps if you decide to sell them.

You can upload the model above to a site like Shapeways and they'll print it for you. They can definitely do it cheaper than me. I would have to sell them for $150 to make it worth the time/material/wear and tear on the printer (this material is hard on nozzles).
