oh, I ooohed and aaahed yesterday and today at how the H55 install is coming along . . . :D :bounce:

I also :oed at the mangleage I did to the rear U-bolt flip plates from 4+

just make sure to put a locking chain (think bicycle lock) on the jerry can handle - husband's jerry cans got stolen from the swing-out in Moab

Sad but inevitable I suppose. I don't even like going to the town any more; when I lived there in 1978-1979 it was a wonderful place, one of my favorites - but it is almost unrecognizable to me now.

just got back in from a nice Sunday afternoon ride ( no top) in the FORTY...high 70deg temps....it was a amazing day to ride...skies so BLUE!!!

New muffler, no mo' stinky

Nearly doubled the value of my $200 Cruiser by ditching the stinky, noisy stock muffler and replacing with welded stainless Borla race muffler.
No more exhaust stank coming up through the rustholes around rear wheelwells. :bounce:

Changed out the non-working Ambulance Door lock. Gave her a bath and a nice coat of wax. Can't wait for the rainy season to end so the hard top can come off for the summer!! :steer:

Got my steelies powder coated and some new coopers on them looks way better now... The console is out to powder coat can't wait to see it all done with arm rest pad and mounted.

Thats "Front drive." Its the vacuum operated transfer case switch that engages the front axle. Convenient but I'd prefer a manual shift transfer.

After a ton of research and opinion seeking I finally got new tires. I went with BFG All Terrain TA's in 33x10.50x15.

I also sprayed the chrome wheels with black Plasti-Dip.

Nice rig (I especially like the color ;)) Looks like your wheels kinda stick out. What wheels do you have and what's the backspacing? Do you have wheel spacers?

Gah, 6 weeks before our DV trip the cruiser starts being dumb again. I adjusted the steering box yesterday, and not it's really weird to drive. Wandering all over and won't return to center. Nice.

Then just for fun the engine started backfiring through the carb and hiccupping randomly. I've been driving it all week and it's been running great... now this just to stress me out before out long trip. :(

Man I can't wait to get rid of the 350.

Installed new calipers and pads when I found my left caliper leaking. The clue was the right drift when braking...

Better now!

The color is Sherwin Williams 42095 beige single stage paint.

The wheels are some misc 15x8 chrome steel units. Not sure on the back spacing but there are 1 inch wheel spacers installed.
