Nearly finished my tube doors. I wish I had a bender.

Darwink, All that in 5 hrs?

LoL, nope. Had the roll cage out, crap at the firewall discod, hood off, and tub off in about that time. The motor and rear end junk took another hour and the front end another hour.

It was together for test fit purposes so no nylocks to deal with and all fresh stailess hardware.... A small cordless impact makes taking stuff apart a breeze man.

Got my steelies back from the powder coaters, took them a key on smoke Grey cap they matched it pretty darn close!

72 FJ rebuild

Primed the motor, installed the new 38mm carb and electronic ignition. Basically got the motor ready to fire up once I get my body back from the body shop and can install my wiring harness. Hoping for spring here in the snow covered Northeast.

In swapping out my 1F for a 2F, I discovered the intake manifold from the 2F does NOT clear the 3 speed linkage. Dug out the old one and gave it a little engine enamel love.

Those are great!

I washed mine today after almost getting stuck in the mud yesterday. Had my wife hold jerry cans up so I could figure out what height I wanted them at.

Wow , where did you get that ? I like it,...

That's the new iron pig off road (made by Dakota digital) gauge cluster - search on mud there is a thread or two.

Looks awesome! I like the blue LEDs - I'd only seen red prior to this.

Started to fix the quarter panels, took out the cabin to start painting and upholster it.

can´t whait to have on the road again...

Pulled the head to work on the valves, seals and check for cyl wall damage.

Cleaned the pistons of carbon and old gas from sitting:

Now to pull two pistons and rehone the cyl walls.

Took it on a favourite local bush track to show my niece (from Norway) more New Zealand scenery:

Good to she it getting dirty

the woman's cruiser has a clutch issue, parts ready, replace clutch slave and bleed today some time.
same time my fuel line is frozen in my cruiser and the nut holding the starter flew off on the road somewhere.
I borrrowed a nut and got it tightened but the lines are still frozen so there she sits
waiting for a thaw.
