I have 3 of these on the Pig. Every 8 or 9 years it seems I wear a hole in the old one, I just put another one on over it.

You know that there have to be a few of us that simply don’t survive some of your tech tips, right?Got out and about in my 40 and enjoyed a little Hawaiian sunshine! To keep it TEQ…my new leather steering wheel wrap I installed helped to maintain a nice non slip-grip with the residual coconut sunning oil left on my hands. A little safety tip while driving if you ever find yourself in that situation.

I'll cosign @RevISK comments. I posted my impression after SAS this year on my thread. Got them about the same time.
I don't have the sag to the extent @RevISK has, they are softer ride which I wanted and do appreciate to this day, post SAS mine make noise when not going straight down the road. I doing more checking to hopefully pinpoint better exactly what is going on- I think the wraps are hitting the frame too - poor quality control. Also, post 8/80 they use the 35 mm for springs and maybe a difference for your 60 and better QC.
Bottom line from my thread rant, don't think they will be d-bomb for all the coin you drop.

From an old B-17 pilot in the Italy campaign - always fly with gloves. Never know when you will need your hands to do broken glass, hot things on fire ect. Plus they work on everything you operate.
From my deuce and half days, never have your thumbs hooked inside the steering wheel where the spokes could rip them loose.
The wrapping's do look nice tho.

Do the same for motorcycles…”as a youth are you kidding…..gloves? Long sleeves? Boots over the ankle?”
After teaching that MSF course for a few years, what a difference. I feel I’ll-equipped if I don’t have these things….I was a vintage Harley Rider so I had to look cool, of course..

Another twist: my cover didn’t feel quite snug enough so I wrapped the wheel with a couple rolls of this! Kinda gave it a cushioned feel as well…
Sorry, I didn’t think of that…I will try and reign in my postings a bit. Unfortunately, most of my tech tips revolve around the confluence of the warm ocean water temps that surround my island, my love for old Land Cruisers, and the need for minimal clothing to accommodate the year round tropical weather. That produces the perfect storm of Fj40/bikini clad photos that is near impossible to avoid. But, because I’m a team player…I will try my best to promote more heart healthy postings.
@Aloha Jen … don’t bother…. I’ll try to look beyond those components….

Here in Tejas, you get the exact same plates for every car. I only have two sets, for both of my current Toyota 4WD trucks, but I admit that it does confuse the county clerks in my small rural county sometimes, as they don't see these very often. I have to watch the VIN numbers on the annual registration windshield sticker carefully, because these have bar codes that are specific to the vehicle.

Just at home, I like the brush on stuff instead of spray cans as it's too thin, the brush one it's so thick it feels like powder coated. Did my jeep frame and roll cage with it as well.
