@kpadawe Following your progress…I have this same project pending….really pending but it is a good thing to have done

@kpadawe , @knuckle47 , I just tore into my knuckles last night, to remove the small pattern disc knuckles and upgrade to large pattern FJ60 knuckles & birfs, plus pull the 3.70 3rds and go back to the original 4.11's.

Crossed a milestone. Last time this was
registered was 2004

@pb4ugo you know of course…you’re gonna have to show me a few pictures …. The photos here seem to be so much nicer to follow than the B&W manual.

Just driving it lately. Work, kids soccer and home improvement stores when I don’t need the rack on the 60 for long stuff.

Make sure you check all the bulbs and grounds on your marker lights/turn signals before replacing the flasher relay - especially if only one side doesn’t blink.
The turn signals also will not blink unless everyone is hooked up. It's weird but must be designed that way. If you just hook the front or back up to test they will not work.

84' HJ47 4.0l Diesel...Picked up 5l of brake cleaner to degrease the bed at some point in the coming days before l treat it, its been covered in something clear & greasey. l've also calculated my mpg & l've managed to get 29.9 mpg by never going over 70kph (55mph)...:) Update on the tyres saga. After days of research l've found/bought a set of 5 Falken Wildpeak 225/75/16 112/115rated & they were cheaper than the lower rated general grabbers too...;).

Insured it, registered it, drove it into town for the first time since I’ve owned it.
Gets up to about 50, flat out. I think I need to adjust the throttle cable and something on the carburetor because if the choke is all the way off, it doesn’t like to idle.
Looks like I’m good to go for the car show tomorrow.
