Rebuilt a new to me carb, good times. Thanks @hyhpe

During our shakedown from Bogotá to Villa de Leyva, we heard the right rear tire rubbing on the tub when we took turns to the left. The left side was quiet, but after inspecting the condition of the tub on both sides, we saw that we needed to get spacers in the rear. Finally got back to the shop today and had them installed. Then we cruised over to the Graffiti district for photos.

Big milestone yesterday. The chassis has been sitting under a tarp outside for about a year while I’ve been working through engine/trans/transfer rebuild and body work. Rolled it into the garage for my first test fitment of the tub and it fits perfectly. All body mount holes line up. Now I can finish the body work in place, finalize all test fitment of the rest of the panels before plating and paint. The only bad news is the neighborhood squirrels decided to use my freshly restored rolling chassis as a toilet so… I get to add a cleaning day to the list of tasks.

Super ! Fantastic work, fits like a glove!

Chased a bunch of highlight lines on the Forest Pig. It feels really good to be getting so disappointed by the rust I’m fixing while simultaneously getting stoked on the way it is coming together. This is still a very solid truck by comparison with my personal experience with other 55’s.
Truly enjoying metal shaping again after years away from a serious project (while working at a large restoration shop🫣😂)
Had my son stop by and sand the roof for me!!🤙🏽
Happy New Year y’all..here’s to all that lay ahead

A Christmas miracle for me this week. After bouncing around three different glass shops for a month and a half my windshield / frame / gasket finally got installed. It took them a number of tries and eventually took four people to do it. A big shout out to Matt's Glass in Espanola NM ! Today it went back on the truck and the windshield wiper motor and wiring installed. This episode was a low point in the project for me and it is good to get it behind me.
