So after seeing folks ask and also being asked for the 101st time ,

do i have or know where to get one of the early Taller type

1956-12/74 Siamese F and next gen. F engine cylinder head Temp.

Sender Union part#
90404-16127 / call-out letter K in the 1965

paper parts cataloger diagram below .................

i thought it a good time to resurrect a Trial Run of
90404-16127-R

it took me a bit to find a suitable NON- Pitted willing Clone , but

after a few calls and Text's , one was at my shop door better

condition then i could have hoped for .

I have been working with a small but hi-tech specialty shop for a bit

now out west that seams to like a small challenge and more

important does not mind small initial Run Job Scopes ..........

so i mailed them my little willing Clone , and decided to Spec.

marine Grade Brass alloy , over the original Mild Steel , Forcing

hard into OLD Crusty cast Iron sounded a bit primitive , so

softer Brass alloy molding to Crusty Old cast iron set in it's ways

sounded and felt like a Better Idea based on how i understand

and have experienced this particular topic ,

about 10 days later to my surprise , actually yesterday Thursday ,

my letter carrier had my box of run # 1 .....

i opened it and to my surprise they are Chrome Plated !

a spec. i did not make or ask for .....?

well ill personally take a tad bit of
TEq Bling over patina any day 🤣

i hunted for a good photo here on MUD of example of a original

90404-16127
for comparison , but have struck out ?

so my 1965 paper parts cataloger will have to do until someone posts theirs up close in place ............

here is first Run of Reproduction 90404-16127-R :

see call-out letter K below

if anyone needs one , there listed in my store now too ......

Is that boot long enough for your twin sticks. I'm having problems with finding one that wont pull up between hi and low.

I have the same one, and works fine for me.

My throw is pretty long. That all has to do with the pivot point. I built mine. Maybe mine is different from the advanced adapters ?

OK, sorry I missed that yours are homemade. Mine are AA.

What does your camper/trailer weigh? And how does your 40 pull it?

2000lbs fully loaded. The 40 has no problems towing/stopping it. On the flats I can tow at 70+mph. On the hills to the ski resorts...well it is still a 40😰

Engine is original but is fuel injected ala megasquirt and has headers.

Brakes are 4Runner four piston calipers and a Supra brake booster w/T100 master cylinder.

I modified a third FJ60 distributor, this one for my '71 FJ40 that has a '76 2F, by replacing the dual diaphragm vacuum advancer with a new NipponDenso single diaphragm advancer. The new NipponDenso advancer has a vacuum advance curve similar to the '77 2F's curve, so performance should be similar. The other two modified distributors have been successfully installed in my '76 FJ40 and another MUD member's '77 FJ40. Because neither of my FJ40s have high altitude compensation (HAC), the dual diaphragm FJ60 advancers are essentially "wasted" - the advancers could be put to better use keeping '81 and later FJ40s and FJ60s on the road (the dual diaphragm advancers are NLA). As a result, I'm slowly building up an inventory of good used FJ60 advancers. One has already found a new home in another MUD member's '83 FJ60.
