Have you removed the thermostat housing? My '78 was running wayyyy too cool. Popped the housing off and NO GASKETSNew temp sensor and boot protector/connector cleaned/soldered wiring and I still get very low temp reading..... I just have a cold blooded old girl? Thermostat or gauge issue? She runs fine - maybe I’ll let well enough alone

Since I had to drain coolant, opted to flush and replace..... It had green (which is likely just fine)..... started to go with the Toyota red until I found out the price so I went with a cheaper compromise.......
