Another addition to my piddly projects list: better battery cables!
*Thinking I’d done something useful to include in this thread.... only to find out my favorite perfectionist @GA Architect has been here done this! :grinpimp:

Uh... I’d be worried if reading was 15 or less but what’s up with this? I’m hooked into the intake which is supposed to be the best location, engine warmed up. I throttled it and needle moves to 15 back up to 25+ then settles back to 25!
Air filter is almost brand new...... Thoughts?

You must be in the midst of a high pressure weather system!!!

You messin with me? :hmm:

I’d be questioning the accuracy of that gauge with a reading like that, unless you’re pushing air into the intake it shouldn’t get much above atmospheric pressure.

Is your idle set nice and low? Like 650ish?

Check for choke or restricted airflow

I thought of that and adjusted it.... not a bit of difference! Knock on wood..... engine runs great but I’m still wondering at this reading!

Is the guage zeroing out at the proper PSI for your elevation?
I’ll look into that.... wife works at home and I’m making too much noise right now! :cautious:

Ok , Huck

here is what my thoughts are :

it appears to me that your white gauge needle's Fan-Tail is bent down on the lower left , its left a dragging mark as it

sweep'd the range of motion , and in your photo its currently stuck , it frees up as u REV the engine , then gets stuck

again

i have a 36" desk top moniter and zoomed in on this detail ,

i hope im right , that was a Shpeal .........

Now THAT is a hell of an observation from an iPad photo! :grinpimp:
*Of course..... I did get the cheapest Harbor Freight gauge they had!

Really !

i was spot on ?

Ha.... I can’t see a bend but I do believe the gauge itself is the issue! It does not read zero as starting point at all... I had not noticed that!
Refund reason ;)
