What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Finally I was able to take my ‘76 FJ40 out for some fun. Went fishing with a good friend for a few days out in the rainforest. We had a great time, camping, fishing, floating, and driving around in the land cruiser. First time towing the cruiser with my 2005 Tundra, everything went according to plan. We tested out the fly rod holders that my friend and I built, no complaints.

Finished up the carb installation and drove on the farm. It's still not quite ready for the road, needs a little steering adjustment and the brakes may have air in the lines, plus a couple minor electrical issues. Just finally driving it some = :bounce:

Took it over to @Cruiser Corps for my first Cruisers and Coffee. Met some great fellow cruiser guys and gals. Truck handled well after new suspension bushings and greased drivetrain zerk fittings.

This one appears to be an ARB home brew, knock off, I think . I picked it up for about 1/3 the cost of the ARB. Whoever built it had the skill because it fits well and is sold. I like having the front end protection it provides.
 
Have you ever wondered what a Real Steel Cruiser Floor Patch looks like in the wild?

My super sweet 79 does not have super sweet floors. The tough question is where to stop. Have most everything placed. Just need to get her welded up for spring.

Installed a tailgate that I've had sitting in storage for a while. Pretty happy with how it turned out. I'll weld the captive nuts in the sill when I pull the tub off in a few weeks to weld up some other things. I used GM tailgate cables that seemed to work just right. Last thing is to add the hooks for the latches that @FARMAN33 has in his stash of spare parts.

We’re getting about 18” of fresh powder in the area today, so why not get the 40 out and play.

That pictures especially the middle picture made me think of the time I was having a great time plowing through some deep wet snow and suddenly I couldn't turn the steering wheel.
Had to get out and knock all the snow that had packed up under the front of my Cruiser.
Makes me shiver just looking at it. Gonna go put on an extra pair of socks now.
 
I’m tired of shoveling snow today.

Took the Toy out to do some errands today and my wife rode along.
Although she drove the Cruiser many times in the past, even pulling the boat she hasn't driven it for the for over the last ten years since she had her left hip replaced so decided to see how well she could work the clutch peddle.
She did fine but I was a complete ars.
I hadn't sat in the passenger seat for over the last ten years so it felt like we was going 50mph when it wasn't much over 10 with me yelling watch out, slow down.
Cool lady she has always been she did great so after I got my act together we pulled into a big empty parking lot so I could get out and watch how the rig tracked as she drove away.
The Land Cruiser tracked straight and my sweet heart came back for me so I guess I didn't piss her off too much.
