I would be interested in a Toyota logo plaque. Don't really mind the makers logo but the silver against the black dash pad would be nice. How about it Dean? Bring some to the Relic Run and I'll bet they don't last long, or take orders.

Finally got the axles put under my 45 frame. Nice to have a rolling chassis.

I removed the 1968 rear end that was a "throw sht together" when I snapped a long axle in my 1972....that was in 2008, maybe. Just put another 1972 rear end in and I purchase rear shock bolts from SOR and put them on the perch not on the leaf spring u-bolt plates...so now my lower shocks are mounted above the leaf springs and protected

Do you ever wheel back to the falls? I’ve not been yet and want to go with someone who has done it before

I have not. There are one or two sections on the route I hiked that I’m not willing to try without lockers and/or a winch. Not sure if there is a more benign way there.

We havent had more then a few inches of snow on the ground up here all winter. This is rare so when we finally got a Colorado low pushing up she dumps bigtime!!!! 10" and counting in last 24hrs unreal for the prairies these days. Figured i needed to get the 42 out for a little rip and make some 1st tracks!

Swapped out my cluster bulbs with LED's. On my 67 there are two for the cluster and 1 for the high beam indicator. The high beam indicator light used to be almost invisible. The LED I chose for this one had a less lumens and a narrow beam. The cluster is the perfect brightness and high beam indicator looks great, although the picture makes it looks like its piercing through the blue (it's not). The color of these bulbs are a nice compliment to the LED headlights I purchased from @Racer65 .

Dropped the side panels, ambulance doors, and other assorted hardware off to get media blasted. Sanding off the gunmetal silver/grey paint and prepping the Fiberglass top for a bit of fiber and epoxy resin repair. Since this is not a nut an bolt 40 and I plan to drive the wheels off of it, I am seriously considering going with a close to Cygnus White LineX paint for the hardtop and Bezel.

I am sure a shudder goes through the force when someone starts spraying gunmetal grey paint onto their FJ40 top. We all probably had to sit down for a minute. Should look really nice when your done.
