She's going back together bit by bit as I have time. Was all set to install the head and the damn thing isn't painted. My fault for not unwrapping it after bringing it home from the machinist and assuming.

I'll tape it up, wire wheel, degrease and paint tomorrow if the weather is decent.

T-Hoff in Raleigh. There really isn't anyone else that I could find. They did a decent job and quick too. 10 days to inspect, clean, deck head, install valve seals, resurface flywheel and grind flat the intake/exhaust manifold.

That's beautiful. Seriously.

Started working on the rear roll cage. Still have a lot to go with the cage but was pretty happy with the general look of it. This was our first attempt bending tubing so we were pretty happy. No screw ups either. Using a borrowed Hossfeld bender. The front half was already there.

Mounted the fenders and aprons today, was having a hard time trying to align them. Did a search on it and found the problem  needed to loosen the body mounts. Can't remember who it was that posted it but, THANK YOU!

Still had to slot the top 2 hole on the left fender support holes just a tad.

Had plenty of help today, my uncle did most of the work on mounting the fenders. Rambo helped us get rid of some beer, and I finished repairing the bib. My son helped when he got back from his lunch date with his lady friend. P/S lined right up with no problem.

Had to get a shot of ole Rambo, he can smell Bud Light a mile away.

I was finally able to find a few "rollers" so I can once again move my 40 around in rhe barn again for starting the build I've always wanted. To get the rear stock wheels back on I had to pull the crazy huge 2 piston GM truck front calipers I'd used in the past.

A shaved and narrowed 14B will be going in there with new smalle calipers. I built my own caliper brackets about 8 years ago.

I'll probably not get the parts 80 I wrote about earlier and avoid the extra family stress.

I do have a good 75k military 6.2 CuCV engine sitting on the frame that needs a new home... the search is on for a decent truck "LS" 6.0.
