Got some more parts sat., radiator, fan, belt and a few others. Pulled the thread cert out of the thermostat and tapped new threads for metric cert....it worked. Welded in some washers and nuts in bottom of the radiator support. Started putting the alt. belt on and noticed the pulley is to narrow. Some thing else to sort out. Went to finishing up the gage panel and hooking stuff up.

Not very pretty but it will do. Hopefully the manifold will be done getting spot surfaced by tue. and I'll get to hear her run some time this week. Think I need later model adj. bar, still got to get fuel line clips and the tube that runs down the side of the block. New bolts for the alt. bracket along with the clips to hold the brake and fuel lines to the frame will be here by Fri. ?

Saturday and Sunday I was like a kid on Christmas. I picked up 5 large bins of OEM NOS mostly early(1964-67) parts........almost all of which are NLA some ages ago.

cant say I have ever seen a new one of these(on left)

Any idea the part number of the fitting on the right? 9mm or 10mm?

didn't feel like it justified it's own thread so I'll post here. I upgraded my original front drums on my 47 to 60 series discs. super happy with the result. however, as I pulled apart my passenger side hub I came across these bearings. really weird. anyone know anything about them? for clarity I went back to stock.

thanks for explaining that one. thought I should go back to stock, they looked old. my camera makes oil look like rust.

old saying "pics or it didn't happen", so here you are..... if anyone wants that WARN hub let me know. the one on the other side was a different hub so just have the WARN hub on the drivers side. passenger side for Americans. right side of the cruiser.

Solved the narrow alt. pulley problem, dug through a pile of pulleys at a friends shop and found one I made work.
DSCN0362.JPG
Had to bore it to fit
DSCN0361.JPG
then fit a washer and collar
DSCN0368.JPG
lined up perfect.....damn lucky!

I searched online the night before till up in the morning, trying find a good part number to order a new pulley. Closest look to me I might be able to get was from a forklift part place. But I'm still green, this thing keeps sending me back to school. Now to find a later adj. bar and adj. hardware.

Picked up the intake from PTS
DSCN0370.JPG

He was going to bead blast it but I didn't give him time, mating surfaces to head where within .0035. The intake on top is one I bought, best I can tell by the part number it fits 81-87 from what I've read on here. It's real close to the one that came on it originally in 75 which was 17111-61010 there again from what I've read. The intake on the bottom was on the truck when I got it. So naturally (me being ignorent in all things Land Cruiser and spelling) thought it was the original 75 intake......WRONG! Lesson 100 something. So if you want to put a Man A Fre header on your truck you need one like the one on TOP.

Got the intake cleaned up and mounted along with the header, made a gasket for the home made block off. I'll probably weld a fitting in it, before its all said and done.
