Rebuilt my hood hinges using a few left over copper bushings I had laying around. New coat of a paint and stainless bolts added....going deeper in that rabbit hole!
Now too adjust the gaskets as my OCD kicking in.

Cleaned up the rear shafts from my 1971. Pressed in new, longer rear studs to accommodate the late model thicker drums. All part of a full rear axle rebuild. They don't look bad for 45 years old!

Well, this is taking me all summer...gutter rebuilt, sikaflex, rivets in, fast n firm, and now the first coat of west marine paint.
Will make rest of truck look crap...but hopefully dry inside.

Quite a bit has been done to Gumby - interior needs finishing but I did put Racer's rear mat to use in Tahoe/Truckee during a dirt biking excursion:

Did a little dress up under the bonnet. About a $20 project with quite a bit of sweat equity grinding off the rust and old paint.
Taking it all apart, bagging and labeling. Have a friend coming over to pull the motor and trans this weekend. Really enjoying learning and this great resource.. Thanks Mud!!
Well it's been a small Journey.in April my son and I started disassembling the landcruiser in order to drop the transmission and transfer case.i had George at Valley hybrid send me a rebulit transmission and transfer case.
Between life, delays and set backs the landcruiser hit the streets with out a problem well almost.i knew my starter was in rough shape but it gave up after my son and I went for the shake down run.i ordered one on Monday but it won't be here until some time next week.we had to push it into the drive way these things are heavy.

This is a little out if order but I was Able to tighten my transfer case front flange Down I had a piece of metal with holes already drilled and In the right spot

Lol, yea thanks man. Been taking out the harness I just repaired and put in along with everything else, running out of boxes and bags.
Talked to the machine shop today, head is ok and they're proceeding as planned. Delta Cams has finished regrinding the cam and lifters, they're in the mail coming back. Got the header and pipe in from Man A Fre. Ordered new motor mounts from Mark today. I got Land Cruiser parts every where.. BTW glad your doing so good Danny.

I hook up this wire to one of the screws on the sending unit it was the only obvious spot .does this seem right.the gauge does not work before it use to at least move
