Well, it's been a few weeks since I posted here... What with the cataract surgeries and all...

I finally got my new @Coolerman rear harness installed, my rear towing wired, my floor and firewall insulated, my main tank back in, my seats back in (along with the driver's seat mod, to make me sit high enough to see the road ahead, and adjustable enough for us tall people to drive comfortably ;)).

The cockpit looks much like it did

This weekend, Dianna picked up some chestnut spray paint and ordered me to mask the interior so she could paint the ceiling... I like it!!

I installed a small LED light bar on each side of my rack. I have this light on the back of the rack and found it very bright and functional.

Danny, you don't need those earmuffs no more, right? How is the difference in sound level after insulation work performed before and after?

I haven't been able to drive more than a block yet Mike... I don't know yet. I really installed it to keep the heat down. I always drive with the windows down and headphones ... Listening to an audio book.

But those are sound suppression ... For shooting.

I'll be driving it soon and I'll report back on the noise

Never knew there was such a thing. Are these a new item? Looks like a good alternative to installing a rear auxiliary tank!

When I got the cruiser a few years ago it had the MAF rear auxiliary tank under it. I never used it and didn't like how low it hung down. I took it out and ended up selling it to fellow enthusiast. This tank was offered by MAF for years but it went away. I've always wanted one and decided to contact them to see if I could get some specs so I could have a local fabricator build one for me. When I called I ended up being put on a list for an upcoming batch of new ones. After about 4 m0nths I got a call that mine was ready. I love it but it requires heavy modifications to the driver side seat mounts. I recently bought a full cage kit from Metal Tech and plan on incorporating the cage into custom seat mounts.

Looks like you have a rubber floor. Is it original or did you buy it somewhere. I'd be very interested in knowing. Thank you.

Sorry, I really don't know. It was there when I bought 44. It has a few splits and holes that I've patched with Shoe-Goo and I keep it "moisturized" with Protectant 303 (I use it for my inflatable pontoon, to protect against UV) and it's holding up fairly well.

I also cut down a cheap floor mat to fit over it on the driver's side... to keep the wear and tear down.

@Racer65 is looking into creating a mold to make aftermarket floor mats... not sure the status of his research... check his "Unobtanium" thread.

Hit a home run this weekend, a 4plus rear bumper!

had a rough one.....

replaced these after 34 years

with some nice new OEM ones..

also have a new(which is day/night) rear view mirror but the original POI sticker is still on it.....and I am sentimental, so it stays until the sticker falls off or until next weekend ;)

also ordered(I count that as doing something) up some OEM weather stripping for the front doors, I am all out of adjustment at the striker, so they are starting to rattle...which drives me nuts. The original W/S is still 100% intact but its about 1/2 as thick as new. Not going to take the doors off when I do it, but it needs to warm up a bit 1st

door bottoms looking pretty good for 34 years old, few paint chips...no rust

I recently mounted the JT Outfitters hood hinges, put the Dakota Digital display in the cluster (which I painted with Nissan Precision grey color)and hang a CCOT Land cruiser poster on the wall of my RV .
