Trying to keep my Lx570 as stock as possible, but slowly building it out for short camping trips.

For the bed/storage I opted to go for the GX Basecamp platform. I did make a few modifications to the design. Gas struts and custom foam padding.

This was a happy surprise after I got everything installed. There is just enough clearance for the cover to stay open when shutting the rear liftgate. I discovered it by accident and was happy it did not end in disaster.

That’s how it always starts, just a few minor alterations….

Replace bashed up running boards with sliders, really have to do something about the wheels and tires, and a roof rack too. Just looking at skid plates and winches…and for me I hate the fact that Slee is just fifteen minutes south. But think of all the money you save if you install it yourself!

Pretty sure it's PT206-60200-02

13 lx with 171k miles.

A couple of weeks ago. New struts, mounts, and globes. I didn’t think my ride was harsh but now wow.

This past week. I had new spark plugs, heater t and hoses, valve cover gasket, lower oil pan resealed, oil changed, and coolant flushed. I do notice the new spark plugs.

Had an oh s*** moment when I pulled the front diff fill plug for a fluid change and it looked like the magnet had fallen off into the diff housing. I was too greasy at the moment to get online and look up pictures of the part number to see if it was supposed to be like that.. turns out it is. Toyota apparently makes the same base part and on certain ones crimps the magnet into the recess.

This is my fourth diff fluid change, so the only plausible explanation for not remembering it looks like this is.. Alzheimer’s

Drained and filled the radiator/degas reservoir of coolant given the recent hubbub about gaskets being consumed. Will this help? I don’t know. But I had some extra coolant just sitting there giving me “the eyes.”

Cleaned the throttle body without removing it. 63k-ish miles. It was due.

It’s missing the screen that keeps the filter from collapsing in case that’s not obvious

So basically been bypassing most filter media. How long has it been since the last change?
This 200 and the platform in general is all new to me. Been rocking a 1fz 80 for last 20 years and just picked this one up 6 mos ago but it’s seen very little driving. Under 2k since purchase

No clue on last oil change date or mileage.

Not aware of a screen. (Edit-Is that the missing perforated stem?) or would it be on top or bottom? My assumption was the spring and “valve plates” were loose and not enagaged in position when it was last assemble reducing available height leading to crushing the filter element when installed.

I’d like to get the proper housing on order and any other needed parts n pieces.
