Took my new to me 15 LX570 to the dealer for what I thought was a coolant flush and brake fluid flush (all other maintenance was up to date as far as I could tell). Service advisor showed me where the truck had just had coolant flush, brake fluid flush, alignment, balance, diff actuator replacement right before I picked it up from a local non-Lexus dealer. Score! Got them to print their records since they were way different than what was in the lexus app. Shouldn't need anything other than oil/filters until 120k now.
which dealer was this? That's a great endorsement for their due diligence for sure and actually doing what's needed and no more!

It’s a good afternoon to get a couple small projects done since I’m home prepping for tomorrow mornings old man procedure.
New rear hatch struts and swapped the logo’s in the center caps. Tundra Trail Edition rims and new rubbers to be installed on Saturday.

Good point! I had the same thought. This was at Johnson Lexus in Durham.

The records for my vin are the same at website and dealer. Are you sure the vin was typed in correctly?

I heard that they stop doing it after 75 or so….something to look forward to.

Had a great weekend. Bashed a fender, bent a slider, smoked a wheel bearing, bananaed a rear control arm, oh and took about 4” of water into the cab. 10/10 would do again, epic time at Mardi Krawl

Recap video here:

Might as well put in sound damping and a body lift while the interior is out. Which slider model bent? And no smoked cvs?
We’re thinking the same way. I have the body lift sitting on the shelf, this incident moved up the install date. Slee slider, it’s the brackets that bent. They had already been massaged but this trip really did it. I was shocked on the CVs as well, only damage there was I lost a boot clamp.

Nice, I saw your recap on instagram. Those control arms really smooshed! +1 bent Slee slider club :highfive: I think the front and rear arms that are just a single piece of steel need a long horizontal gusset or to be boxed in somehow for these sliders to really take a hit.

Agreed. What the Slee sliders do best is protect the AHC components. I’ve bent those bottom plates a couple of times but they’ve never allowed any damage.

That's great to hear. It looks with proper care on CV angle that it's possible to do some hard obstacles and not break these. Good motivation for me to get moving on the LT enhancements.

How does your truck drive after all that abuse?
Some new squeaks and rattles to diagnose, but it drove home (120 miles) just fine, even pulled straight.

A recent trip to Colorado and the subsequent 31 hour /1987 mile drive home (done in one sitting, supported by two dogs, a few walks and a lotta coffee) resulted in an order of BP-51's / UCAs :) Had them in my first 200 and missed them on build #2. Offroad, I didnt like questioning my clearance and onroad, I missed the tightness in turns at speed and smoothness on dirt. Def. aired down a lot more than I'm used to on this one.... Regardless, stacked ~4600 miles in 2.5 wks and there's no other truck I'd want to do it in.

I was planning a trip to Moab this weekend, but responsibilities intervened. Instead, took a quick trip to one of my local trails and got high centered :hillbilly:

Also saw this weird fuzzy thing.

Met some friends this morning at RSF cars and coffee. I street parked my 200 right behind an Evo VI. As I was getting out I heard a couple of people talking.

“so in the 80’s the sultan of Brunei commissioned blah blah…”

I think out loud “why does this sound like a Doug demuro video?”

Tall guy in the middle looks up and laughs.

I look back and ask “daddy Doug please don’t hex my 200,” and walk away.

Awesome. Next time you get out there, give us SD people a holler. I've been to many over the years and I'm sure some more 200-series peeps would be interested.

Had to build a new drawer system after figuring out the cargo space of the 200 is smaller than my lx450 and smaller than our lx470 that we sold recently. Who knew a bigger car has less cargo space?
