Got a cheap heat gun and did some heat gunny things. De-LEXUSed the tailgate... still thinking about whether I want to remove the LX570 or just leave the LX there. Made some more clearance for my tires. When I bent my DS slider, it folded the rocker plastic cover up and into the wheel well a bit. Next up: removing the door moulding :hillbilly:

@Heckraiser
Now that you have a heat gun ...

Jumped on the rp342 bandwagon recently. I've used fluid film for years and believe this 342 stuff is a more durable option in the exposed undercarriage bits but will confirm that over this winter. Still using ff for inside frame and other cavities.

Application was really enjoyable. Went on like butter. Lays flat. Only really used 2 cans and applied somewhat strategically.

Also threw some KO3s on for good measure. Great ride so far. I've been a bfg ko fanboy for years, ran every ko they've made since the late 90s. I'm loyal, maybe to a fault, but these are a great evolution!

You cleaned things up well after than catastrophic coolant leak. It must have been everywhere and a huge mess.
Surprisingly, it wasn't obvious at all what had happened, no trace of coolant anywhere when looking under the hood. The radiator overflow canister was still at normal levels so a coolant leak was not the first thing that came to mind. Only on the undercarriage everything was caked in red dune sand from the sticky coolant. Came right off with the hose though.

2 cans of liquid unicorn gold? (it takes 1.45 L which is even more frustrating)
Just means you should have another .5L sitting on the shelf for the next change?

The Heritage cargo mat is pretty cheap and fits perfect 👍

I’m glad they changed the container to a bottle vs a legit can! That stuff might have a chance to be viable if you can close/reseal the cap really well.
I recently bought this liquid gold and it came in the old school can. I had to get the can opener from the kitchen to get into it. Poured the remaining gold into an empty diff oil can for next time. Hopefully, I’ll get this newer style can next go around.

Pulled the factory rack off the LX and installed the Rhino Rack base kit. Thankfully, the rack removal went as advertised. I’ll be pulling the Pioneer platform off my 100 to put on the LX and running RR Vortex bars on the 100.

Drove in the rain with the new KO3’s. They handled great with no loss of traction during acceleration, breaking, or cornering.
To be fair I slow down quite a bit in the rain, and I never had issues with my KO2’s in the rain either.

Swapped out the worn factory shift knob for an OE-style replacement from China via eBay. Looks and feels exactly like the factory piece, except that instead of a silver back plate, this has woodgrain that matches the rest of the wood in the interior. I prefer the woodgrain to the silver plastic.

That looks nice! I hope it holds up vs turning into a temu looking setup.
