Looks great - makes a huge difference. What did they run you?
I’ve had these in my cart for a few weeks

About half the cost of LC OEM replacements. It's gonna hurt, but it's worth it if you plan on keeping it long.

Oh yea, I’ve accepted my fate lol. They are way beyond polishing at this point and she’s a permanent member of the family.

Nice move! I've got a set in my garage waiting to be installed. New OEMs are worth it IMO. They look so nice! Like you guys, I got tired of polishing mine only to have them temporarily look mediocre at best.

I’m still holding tight on polishing. For $15 per that is a lot of polishing to get to $1k

Those of you that replace the housings should install clear PPF. It creates a UV-resistant layer that will delay the degradation of the plastic in addition to protecting them from scratches etc.

I put PPF on the Cruiser and LX as OEM HID/LED housings are north of $2,000 each.

I'd much rather spend the $1000 on something else, but mine have been polished a few times and are badly etched + UV damage on the top and have some weird hard water spots on the inside of the lenses.

^This is very good advice. The original owner of my 2013 had PPF put on the headlights, but only the front facing surface. The front facing surface looks new with zero degradation after 9 years. The top surface that did not get PPF covering looks pretty much how you would expect.

This is why I replaced mine. They looked good for about 1 month after polishing then back to looking even worse.

Does anyone know if the 08 lights can be replaced with 13+ lights? That came to mind as some 1st gen people might want to upgrade to the LED/HID lights.

If you are talking about an LX the fascia is different on a 13+ If you dont change the grill and bumper skin then you'll have a slight gap.

Installed the panhard correction from eimkeith. Really glad I did, truck is tracking straight again and I've been chasing this alignment for a couple years now. Swapped in a new panhard while I was at it since truck has over 200k. Bushing still looked good.

Also installed lights in the Trail Tailor rear bumper finally since yearly inspections are coming up.

Awesome license plate - GO AFG!

The minivan is still at the dealership. I was frustrated because I'm leaving for a road trip today and the only reason I took it to the dealer for a new starter is because I didn't have time to work on it myself this week. Was gonna get mad and raise a stink, but then they handed me the keys to a brand new GX :) Just to teach them a lesson, I'm going to take it up corona pass and get it good and dirty :hillbilly:

GX does feel pretty wimpy compared to the 200. Comparatively light and nimble, but WAY down in the power department.
