I installed OEM spring spacers in the front. You can see some of the AHC fluid escaped when I disconnected the hydraulic hose...

Had ARB drawers installed. Waiting on the fit kit to arrive around 1st of August and then the install will be complete.

Installed a roller floor and ARB elements fridge. Next up is a custom over-the-fridge storage solution using t-slot aluminum. Decided on this route since it would maximize vertical storage as opposed to going with a bigger drawer and having to do a fridge slide with drop down or tilt. Also due to the size of the elements fridge the slide/drop kits I saw were just too wide to fit on a single drawer platform.

Installed the Eezi-Awn load bars.

In the never ending search for the best setup, I moved the Alu-Cab tent over to my Xventure Trailer. Unfortunately, I couldn't mount the Shadow Awn on the trailer the way I had intended, so I'll just mount in on the Land Cruiser for now.

Got quite intimate with my entertainment system..

I dont -think- I have anger issues.. as it's rare I even feel mad let alone yell or slam something or whatever. And this is part of why. Good things rarely come.

Iphones have a very frustrating habit of randomly picking which audio app to open when I start my truck and the bluetooth connects.. well I had been doing a lot of starting and stopping one day and for the fifth time of it not using the last app I palmed the volume button to turn off the stereo.. a bit too hard. I heard a snap and the knob was suddenly about 1/8" further in than it was before.

s***.

It still worked fine.. which meant I probably didn't grenade the switch but I was imagining carnage behind the face.. maybe the circuit board pushed off its mounting etc. I tried pulling the knob out and it wouldn't budge.. didn't want to break said switch so I decided to rip apart the dash and fix it correctly.

My new and not improved volume knob

Now for a detour.. 140k miles on my truck and while sometimes I think my love for and faith in this vehicle borders on fanaticism.. but this job required removing the knee pads and their silver trim, inner AC vents, center speaker cover, and nav screen. Not a single broken tab.. this thing is just like it came out of a factory yesterday. That is mind blowing to me.

Anyway.. The section with the knobs is the actual entertainment system with dvd drive and hard drive and such. The screen is.. just a screen. Got the main system out and removed the face..

So once again on said fanaticism.. these things are bombproof. The potentiometer/switch is VERY robust. My stupidity didn't break the expensive switch.. it busted the tiny tabs inside the knob.

If you look close the left knob is round all the way in.. right knob (channel) has small tabs to control depth.

I swapped the knobs since the channel one doesn't get pushed.. and put a small piece of wire across the little slot which will control depth to almost the same level as from the factory.

And, if I can find a source for these knobs I'll just pull it off and replace, now that I know it won't hurt anything to pull solidly on them.

All back together and working now. And project clean-out-all-the-previous-owner's-chocolate-lab-hair is another step toward completion too.

Agree. It’s amazing how well these things hold up after years. Mine is 12 years old now and I keep poking new holes in it only to find that it keeps going no matter what I impose on it. :)

I’m also behind the leg pads at the moment...

Finished up the major parts of my above fridge storage solution. Just need to cover up some exposed mesh and edges with the appropriate trim and finish up a lower fit kit to cover up the wheel well area. Never worked with this stuff before so glad it turned out as well as it did. Took a test drive and no rattles, feels very solid, in retrospect could have gone with smaller diameter profiles to save weight.

We ended up doing our club meeting this month outside. @Mendocino was kind enough to share one of his Front Runner Expander chairs with me. These pack down real small. I have nice Oztent and ARB Chairs, but don't keep those in the truck as they take a lot of room. I stored one between the ARB drawers and the middle seat. I could have put two there if that was all I used that space for

Then when I need to get a better angle on the roof rack, which helps when closing up an RTT, I Bought one of these Door Steps from GAMIVITI.

I followed the suggestion and ran a strap through the trim

I installed the Trail Tailor rear lower control arm skid plates. I did use a dremel to trim the "wings" on the LCA bracket. I also used a jack on the opposite front wheel to help align the bolt for easy removal. I put a drop or two of blue locktite pn the bolt as only one thread extends past the nut now. Very stout and well designed.

Apologies if this has been covered already but.. is your truck wrapped?

Sure is. 3M 1080 vinyl in M261 dark gray vinyl.

Any concerns about 3rd row airbag deployment into the mesh grate?
