I have 285/75/17s and wheel and have never had a need for aftermarket bump stops. Even when I had a JKUR on 37s with only 3.5" of lift I had to pull out the aftermarket bump stops to put the oem ones back in because they limited up travel too much. The only scenario I can think they'd come in handy is high speed HARD cycling the suspension like jumps

I may get stock units again and put them back in...

Ya, these aren’t going in.
The point was to allow MORE uptravel than the Timbrens...which already limited uptravel more than necessary.

These are huge and even if super soft...they’d have to compress a full inch just to be as “short” as the Timbrens.
They squish... a lot. Like I said I have them on my FJ and they flatten out pretty quick, and can smoosh half way with just flexing the suspension.

Think of them like Chevy 2500/3500 prop shafts, they look huge, but are hollow inside.

If you are worried though, and since you could get money back for the wheelers, but already own the Timbrens, why not just cut your Timbrens in half, and use the wheelers spacers with a longer bolt?

Find a friend with a fork lift and start test flexing. Ive been thinking about trimmimg my timbrens too

Battery failed inspection, new one installed along with a 70k service and picked up new wipers all around for the winter.

Got my 1st real mod done:

Tough Dog lift:
  • 41mm Foam Cell Complete Strut Assy (FRONT Winchbar & Winch springs)
  • 41mm Foam Cell Rear Shocks with Light (0-660 lb) Rear Springs
I got about 2.75" front and 2.25" rear, it rides great even with the heavy front springs. I will be getting a bumper soon, just waiting for Slee to get more TJMs.

Looks great. self-install? if yes, how mechanically inclined do you have to be to do it in addition to having a good friend to help?

I have quick question if anyone can answer, i have been searching this forum for hours to get answer but couldnt find a match.
I have 2008 lx570 which is basically same as lc200, i wanted to change coolant, so i bought 2 gallons toyota pink coolant and drained coolant through small cock valve on radiator and drained roughly 2 gallons. Then i started filling in reservior tank not through the radiator cap and filled above the F line in reservior. Put cap back on the reservior tank as well as the radiator cap and started engine let it run and started squeezing big hoses connected to radiator but the level never changed in reservior tank and after about 10 mins or so i looked at temp guage it was up at H level so i quickly shut off the engine. At this point radiator was super hot as well as upper radiator hose was also too hot to touch, i started pouring coolant in radiator through radiator cap and it took good bunch of coolant, then i let it sit for couple of hours to cool off and came back to find out the level in reservior fell about couple of inches but still lil above the F line, cranked it up and let it idle for about 5 mins the temp guage seemed to not rising but the radiator started getting hot as well as upper radiator hose and level didnt change in reservior. I dont know what i am doing wrong, i thought it was simple drain n fill but i guess i am doing something wrong here. Can anyone please help me.

We took some toys to the desert. And I took both rear seats out. Slee sliders next.

What you are calling a "reservoir bottle" is better described as an overflow catch tank. It doesn't drain anywhere. If you pour coolant into it, you will just fill it up and nothing will go to the radiator/engine. You were supposed to add coolant directly into the radiator and let it bleed while you squeezed the hoses and all that (before you put the radiator cap back on).

Looks like a fun day. When you pulled out the rear seats, did you get any warning lights or have any issues? I've heard you need to add resistors or other electronic stuff to keep the warning lights at bay. I'd love to pull out the 60 side of the 60/40 rear seat on my truck.

Nope. Not true. Just pull them out.

You are thinking of the 2nd row seats. I believe @dryrunner is talking about the 3rd row seats which are very easy to remove.

Sorry, yes 3rd row seats. I need the second row for the kids.
